Yeaaaaaa....I'm gonna let this marinate for a while. Never want to be the first one to get a recall performed. Technicians that have done several will have the highest success rate and the muscle memory to get it done fast and right.
Right. The recall isn't going anywhere. I can go in for the "fix" anytime.

They have to do all the 2025s in stock anyways so they will get trained pretty fast

Yeah heres to hoping that they get them done correctly.. lol.

I put money down on one locally and I have to wait till they have all the parts before I can actually buy it. But better to have it fixed and safe.

I just had my spoon rigid collars installed. If they have to drop the subframe I'm worried about them damaging or losing the collars when doing the repair.

Legitimate concern. I was planning to do the PRL collars, but now I am going to hold off.

Same here. Had mine done about a month ago. Someone on FB said Honda is making a tool that can be used to perform the fix without dropping the subframe but no other info after that. He did mention multiple techs have done it so it can be done. I will not let Honda "repair" mine until they can do it without dropping the subframe. Those collars seem to be made for one use only as they crush/mold when installed.

I wonder if that's what the "subframe adapter" is on the service bulletin.

Maybe I can get the tech to put the collars in during the repair!

I might just sacrifice myself as tribute next month and get it done
Let us know how it goes if you do. Since I don’t have a problem right now I’m gonna do springs before I bring mine in I think. If they’re saying there’s a tool without needing to remove bracket then I think it’s worth the wait.

The last thing I want it the clowns at the dealership touching my car. I don't trust them to change the oil, definitely don't want them messing with my steering or dropping my sub frame.

The way I see it as a 1.7 hour job it can't be that invasive

If this TSB is only paying the techs 1.7 hours on flat rate, and the subframe has to be dropped, and the steering rack removed expect some carnage Left behind. I think this time also includes the alignment, this is not enough time.
