There's a leaflet in the box with instructions. They do recommend a few stops for mating in. But since there's no material transfer, it doesn't require the usual one or two heat cycles for bedding in.

I don't change pads for the track. The sr11 (or the rpx before) are there all the time, even for street driving.

And yeah I don't like bedding brakes too. The rpx asked for a number of 180km/h (112mph) hard stops...
I leave mine on the car too. Majority of my time is street driving. Low dust. They were noisy at first, but after first session on track, noise is gone.

I'm gonna need to give these SR11's a try!
Yeah do it! I only wish they had less bite. They could lock the racing slicks with 70% pedal pressure.

lol yeah I love driving fast but I am not doing 112 stops anyways around here thats for sure.
Exactly! It was unnerving for sure.

I have a track day coming up at the end of this month and my Project Mu's are looking a bit thin. So I just picked up a set of the rebranded Winmax W5 pads that everyone is talking about, along with the titanium shims.

I have the three you highlighted on my radar but have not decided yet.

Same here. I am leaning toward the 2 dates with chin since I have 2 local events Aug 24 and 25th. Sept 7 and 8 may be a little close together for me.

Nope novice instructed. I ran a lot more 15-20 years ago just getting back into the swing of things.

This would be my 3rd or 4th for the year and I hope to do 8 next year.

How are the SR11 vs RPX in street driving? In terms of rotor wear/noise. I'm thinking of running a set of RPX all summer for daily/track use, and switching back to OEM during winter months (Oct-May). I'm assuming the rotors will eventually bed back to the OEM...

Both are a little squeaky. Can't say much about rotor wear yet, but the RPX supposedly causes greater wear.

I went through 5-6 RPX sets before changing rotors for the first time. Rotors still had >50% life, but the rotor surface was badly deteriorated and required more and more time to seat new pads to it. I decided to install new rotor rings from Paragon ($550 for a pair) and from the very first use (!!) the combo SR11 and new rotors felt a lot better than properly bedded in RPX pads. From now on I'm going to replace rotors more frequently - they aren't that expensive when compared to the brake pads we use.

They will. The RPX compound is abrasive in lower temperatures. It efficiently cleans the transfer layer on the rotor, so it's easier to go from RPX to OEM than, say, blue stuff to OEM. More on this here: https://www.brakes-shop.com/brakepedia/pads/uneven-pad-deposit-removal

@keller you kept the factory center hats and just swapped rings, right? No more difficult than a regular brake job I imagine. Just more time consuming.

Yes, those rings are for the OEM hats. To be fair, not the easiest job no, considering any under/overtightening or missing the sequence can be of catastrophic consequences. I also had an issue with a manufacturing defect that Paragon promptly helped me out. All in all it unfortunately was a multiple day job, instead of just replacing rotor assemblies.
