I want to do this next year so I will be bookmarking this thread.

Just reading about the rotor removal though gives me the sweats, phillips is such a bad design but have also had hex strip on me so can't win, it will probably be a drag.

Edit: actually question for yall, are the whiteline the ones to get? Any difference btw those and other brands? I remember hearing of some wear on the little plates that lock the camber?
I think the hard race ones are the best ones. Has the best design and haven't found complaints on the ball joints failing.

this dude makes it look so easy lol

It does not look too bad though, I will follow tips in this thread and this video to get these in before next season for sure. Alignment shop is not so close though so it will be an interesting drive after install lol

I've definitely got outer shoulder wear, and I've only tracked on this current set of 200tw tires for two events. I bought the EVS tuning ball joints, but haven't installed them yet, and I'm running the maximum camber with the pins pulled. The track photographer caught a really good photo of me coming out of a corner, and I could definitely see that the car needed more camber just from the photograph.

yeah, that would be a huge pain in the ass. Rest seems totally fine, I know I will struggle with the rotor bolt, I always do. I blast it with Kroil and use a hand impact and strip it every time, its a pain.

Hoping for some black friday deals and I will get some hardrace to install in the spring.

The current tires have 3 track days and look ok but can definitely see some roll over, I don't even have the pins pulled. I have Hankook RS4s and this is the only reason the sidewalls are not more destroyed.

Please make a video when you install the ball joints :)

I'll try to. I'm terrible at suspension work. I just don't weigh enough for all of the pulling and prying.

I feel you. I have made a couple of videos, nowhere near the quality of your videos and it just makes installing things 3x longer and harder. I just wanted to get it done with.

Sorry if I am bringing this back but just re-read this thread
So why has hardrace switched their design on the ball joints? As I understand this was the old design
11th Gen Honda Civic Stock Front Camber and tire wear on track 1731071691084-8a

and now their design is the same as the same as whiteline and I guess EVS which has the pins and the little plates sit on top

I guess no one has issues with the new version? (I remember seeing a thread about someone having an issue with the pins or plates deforming or racking). The other version just seems so much better

Hard race doesn't use those pins any longer. I have read about the EVS ball joints on other platforms wearing out fast, so that's why I chose the hard race ones

thank you BigBird!

I was confused, some sites still show the hardraces as the pin design but right before you posted I checked their site and shows the updated design (I am not an engineer by any means and this just looks to be such a much better design, I did not like that pin design at all, I guess maybe it makes for changing camber easier but that does not matter for most)

Is it me or these look like relabed hard races
https://coiloverdepot.com/products/...abjXLwI_HPbHc-i3c4HLxrvZqiLBHbLUaArDlEALw_wcB

thats a great price. Seems like hard race is out of stock

edit - seems like hard race does make a lot of megan racing stuff.
edit 2 - sorry I am off work today so nerding out on ball joints I guess, I have a suspicion that Js Racings ball joints are also made by hard race, they also have the same design and look very similar

Actually messaged coilover depot and straight up asked if they were made by hardracing lol and they said they are so I will just get the megan racing for $50 less.

Just received a hardrace set. Jhpusa has them in stock.

My whiteline started to fail and decided to get quality parts this time. See vídeo at https://www.civicx.com/forum/threads/excessive-play-in-lower-ball-joints.93348/

I don't have any issues removing the rotor screw with the hand impact driver. 2-3 blows and they are loose.

Crap....I bought the EVS....
Just looking at the EVS ball joints since their black friday sales just dropped, it looks like its the same design as the hard race ones, they don't use the pins so these may be ok. I need to pick up some stuff so might add these to the cart
