I have not seen any pics of BC forged wheels at all? My current want is Spoon SW 388's.

I did a crazy thing and ordered the forged BBS Mugen wheels from black hawk Japan the other month, they finally got here. I can't wait to see these on the car with those Michelin pilot sports. I called my go to tire shop and I know the manager from autocross so I trust them to help me out with this, they said no problem so I'll schedule a visit later this week. Once everything is installed I'll take a picture and post an update. Thank you everyone here for guidance, now excuse me while I contemplate my financial choices

Did you get hit with any tariffs? What was the invoice price before shipping? I also want to order wheels from black hawk but I am worried about a big invoice from the shipper when they get here. I have seen a wide variety of mixed feedback online

Looking to get a set of dedicated winter wheels and cant find much on here about 18x8.5 +45 57NR fitment. Any clue if these will clear the calipers?

Before shipping the cost seemed to be pretty much what is listed on the black hawk Japan website currently. I've been thinking about getting these wheels for months so I've been watching the price closely. Surprisingly, the price only fluctuated slightly from when I started researching back in February/March to when I ended up actually making an order in late April.

I think shipping was slightly more expensive than when I initially started looking earlier in the year but only by about a hundred bucks. Overall I ended up spending about $600 just for the shipping and I didn't get a tracking number until yesterday (apparently this is typically how black hawk Japan handles tracking numbers). From memory the cheapest shipping option quote was about $500 from earlier in the year.

Considering I put in the order during the height of the tariff stuff I was somewhat worried. I guess it worked out in a way because I was waiting to see if there'd be any additional tax/tariff cost

The only thing now is that the bolts/wheel locks are being shipped separately so I have to wait until they get here before I can get everything onto the car because these wheels are not compatible with the OEM bolts due to the shape.

so you ordered all the wheels together and they were delivered together, presumably over $2500 worth, and you did not pay any tariffs or duties?

who was the shipping company?

That's correct, I ordered everything together and I selected the cheapest FedEx international shipping. The wheels arrived together each in their original boxes.

Strangely enough tho, it was UPS that ended up making the delivery even though I picked FedEx. The Black hawk Japan website only has two shipping companies to the USA: FedEx and DHL. There's a basic FedEx international and then an express one that was a few hundred bucks more so I went with cheaper option. The DHL quote was about as much as the FedEx express. I know DHL had some policy changes for shipping to the US due to tariffs but I just picked FedEx anyway

I've ordered some things from Japan in the past and I think they tend to include necessary taxes and duties in the listing prices. It probably depends on what and where you buy stuff. But the last time I ordered some clothes from Japan I think that's how it worked; it was the listing prices and then shipping. I didn't remember seeing anything on the invoice explicitly about duties or international taxes

interesting. I was planning to order each wheel individually to reduce tariff risk, and when you do that, UPS is an option, and the overall shipping cost ends up being less. When i put all 4 in the cart and go to checkout, you're right, I only see fedex and UPS as options. maybe I would be fine to order all together and select fed ex instead of placing 4 separate orders and picking UPS

Edit: false alarm, I'm really silly and did not check each box close enough. I opened each box to quickly inspect each wheel but did not realize that the hardware was underneath the foam in one of the boxes. The thing that threw me off was getting a random tracking number which made me think that something got mixed up. Only thing damaged in this case is my pride lol

Original post below:

:( apparently part of my order containing the bolts was delivered to the wrong address (or at least I received an incorrect tracking number).

I got an email saying the rest of my order was delivered but it was to somewhere in California (I live on the east coast).

I wrote a support email to black hawk japan and tried contacting UPS to make a claim but they said to contact the seller; I'm not sure what UPS can do in this situation anyway since the tracking number says it was already delivered.

I just hope I can get this sorted through black hawk japan in a timely manner. The important thing was that I got the wheels so just having the bolts and wheel covers lost in transit is not that big of a deal, more of an annoyance than anything. Nevertheless this kinda sucks because I have the wheels, I just can't install them on the car yet
