Does anyone here that’s lowered run a 18x9.5 +35 wheel with a 275/35 tire? Just curious…
Here's another member running that spec. A lot of people on the FB groups run this spec. I've seen as low as +22 on a 10.5 wheel on 275s with added camber.

Late Fall\Winter Setup [OEM Suspension\Height and OEM alignment]

Wheel: Enkie T6R -- 18x9.5 ET45 -- Bore 72.6 -- [Part#: 539-895-1245BK]
  • REQUIRED: TireRack provides Hub Centric Ring 72.62mm to 64.10mm plastic adapter
  • REQUIRED: TireRack provides Gorilla Lug Nuts - Black M14x1.5 [Part#: 41148BC]
    • TireRack provides the two items above for free when ordering Wheel\Tire Combo and having them mount the tire on the wheel for home delivery
Tire: Continental ExtremeContact DWS 06 Plus -- 265/35/R19 [Part#: 1557328]

The overall diameter is only 0.55mm more, which is a difference of -0.17% on the speedo [BEFORE 60MPH = AFTER 59.9MPH]. So you pretty much don't have to worry about speedo correction. Wheel offset gives it a near flush look.

Weight Difference:
OEM\PS4S: 51.4lbs
Enkie\DWS06: 45.6lbs

Nearly 6lbs lighter [Continental's are usually lighter tires compared to Michelin too]

My Daily Setup has arrived from TireRack (they mounted and balanced the tire on the wheels) taking advantage of Continental ongoing rebate. I'm at stock height and I have no plans in lowering it.

Wheel: Enkie T6R -- 18x9.5 ET45
Tire: Continental ExtremeContact DWS 06 Plus -- 265/35

This is close to OEM rotational size, so speedo should barely be affected. Wheel offset gives it a near flush look with it maybe poking out 2 to 3mm. An offset of ET48 would be perfect in my opinion, but can live with ET45.

Unfortunately one wheel had two scuffs on the lip from what appears to have been damaged during tire installation and not shipment. Either case, TireRack is sending me a wheel replacement. In the meantime I did weigh the OEM and Aftermarket setup to compare:

OEM\PS4S: 51.4lbs
Enkie\DWS06: 45.6lbs

Nearly 6lbs lighter [Continental's are usually lighter tires compared to Michelin too]

I'd love to see more pics of this setup from the side showing poke etc. They look nice from that view.

Yeah I had mounted only one and saw the one wheel damaged in two places. So I took it off and put OEM for now. Tire Rack is sending me replacement wheel, hopefully next week I'll receive it and mount all 4 with more pictures

I am also curious about this. I want to get some 18x9.5 +35 (CE 28) with 275/35s on Spoon springs? I am wondering if that set up rubs... would removing guide pins be enough?
Also curious if a 265/40 or 275/40 would rub. want to fill the gap as much as possible without ay rub.

You'll be fine with the 275/35s. Removing the pins will give you a little more negative camber.

previous setup with my CE28s (18x9.5 +35 w/ 265/35 tires) and current setup with my Te’s (18x10 +40 w/ 265/35 tires). No rubbing with both setups, lowered on swift springs w/ natural rear camber and -3 front camber with ball joints. Gonna get coils soon to adjust the height a bit lower.

Hello, first time ordering aftermarket wheels. I have a 2025 civic Type R. I really love these and I'm probably ordering them, the Rays Versus VT125S in super dark gunmetal. They look great, especially on the championship white.

A few Questions; 1. Do I need hubcentric rings? If so, which ones do I need? I plan on running a 275/35/18 tire and wheel size of 18x9.5 +45. 2. Any pro's/con's vs 275 or 265 tire? I think I will go with a 275 just for a little better traction, but I also assume it will make the tire look a tad bit wider when viewing from the back. Anything I am missing for comparing? I guess I'm not understanding why you would go with 265 if a 275 fits fine and also gives better handling? 3. I spoke to someone on your site and they recommended the lug nuts M14x1.5, but there are so many different kinds to chose from, I am confused which ones I need, does it matter? I have the Rays L42 dura-nut added to my cart, Just looking for a standard lugnut (nothing special) that will fit with ease of doing tire rotations etc. 4. Again, this being my first time ever buying aftermarket wheels so I appologize for the barrage of questions, but I assume when you buy aftermarket wheels they are automatically lighter and should offer better performance than stock? Any additional guidance or info I should know prior to placing an order is appreciated! Thank you in advance!

Also thanks for making this thread, it has been very helpful.

I will have my 18x9.5 +35 wheels and 275/35 tires mounted on Friday and will advise… 👀.

I just ordered the Rays Versus VT125S wheels through system motorsports. I am super excited and I'll be sure to upload pictures for you guys when everything arrives and gets put on the Type R. I also ordered a few other goodies :D

I went with the following setup:
VT125s 18x9.5 +45 super dark gunmetal
Falken Azenis FK460 A/S 275x35x18
H&R Sport Springs

Again, this thread was SUPER helpful in finding wheel ideas! Glad I found this forum.

Good choice TE37 are super basic. Every time I bought Volks was about to buy 37's and just couldn't so I got CE's instead.
I was looking at TE's first, but there are soo many builds with those, and in every color possible too.
Do you have any pics of your car on CE's?
