Apple has been stuck with the iTunes library for decades and has wanted to migrate away from it. What I would suggest in your case is transferring your audio files to a newer device that the host system (i.e., FL5) recognizes.
Take your old iPod, connect it to a laptop/workstation with iMazing installed. Backup the device and transfer your audio files to a newer device.
