Greetings Tr3ble.
How are you finding the exhaust?

is it much louder than oem?

BTW love your YouTube vids!
Hi mate, the exhaust is good!

It’s just a tad louder than stock but I have the Apexi front pipe as well now and its still tolerable 😉

I’m very happy with the exhaust, the quality is there and the kids and wife doesn’t complain about the noise so thats an added bonus

Nice one. I'm tempted by this but it's hard to find more details. I wonder what the general consensus is about the best sounding exhaust for the FL5? They all seem to have their merits.

Will try get those with a better mic setup soon!
Wanted to follow up on this. Any additional videos you can share? Specifically, part throttle and WOT in car and outside.

Yes, interested as well.

Also any pics/vids of the S15. I don't know how I missed that originally, S15 is on my bucket list of cars I need to own before I die.

Sorry lads, been absolutely smashed at work these days!

I’ll try get a videographer friend to help with footage.

Hi was this video ever posted? If not I'd still be super interested. I'm thinking of sticking with the OEM downpipe, getting a Fujitsubo front pipe, and the Kakimoto Racking Class KR exhaust. If I understand it correctly Kakimoto doesn't make a front pipe. I really just want something with a great tone that is marginally louder than stock. It's really hard to find any videos of this exhaust though so if you have one I would love to see it. Thanks!

It's slim pickings with respect to exhaust videos; however, there are some out there. If you scour YouTube, FB, and IG you will find a handful. Just a heads up, watch the weight if that's something you care about.

Thanks I'll search some more for videos. Kakimoto's website quotes the weight for the class KR at 19.7kg. My thought is that by using the lighter Fujitsubo front pipe the full cat-back weight should come out to about the same as OEM unless my math is off.

Like the exhaust how much the exhaust protruding out of the bumper if you can put a picture. I know is gone to be aftermarket but I want something that fit the same as OEM don’t like that they come out too far away from the bumper.

It's odd because I find many of the aftermarket exhausts don't tuck up nicely like the factory unit. The tips protruding beyond the rear splitter/bumper is a hard no for me.

Kakimoto definitely sticks out well past the factory position.

Not to be too pedantic, but it may broadly align with the edge of the rear diffuser lip. It isn't easy to see from that singular angle. In other words, looking down from the top, you may not see the tips protruding beyond the car's body. You may be correct, though.

Sound is subjective, I understand, but this exhaust sounds good—one of the best on offer for the FL5, IMHO. It sounds like a decent 4-cylinder turbocharged car and less like an excavator or row crop tractor, which is what many of the aftermarket exhausts for this platform sound like.

Here is another look. I agree this is a top 5 sounding exhaust for me. The JDM exhausts in general sound best, I agree most others sound like diesel trucks. Kakimoto and 27Won (the only non-JDM exhaust I like) in my opinion have the best sound for the least money (though still expensive). Money no object I would buy a Seeker tomorrow. If I was concerned about weight Fujitsubo is the way I'd go.

1. Seeker
2. Kakimoto
3. Fujitsubo
4. 27Won
5. Spoon

You and me both I get excited for a part then I see the fitment and I get really sad when I see the fit. I don’t mind the OEM even the Amuse titan expensive as it’s is and protrudes from the bumper. The fitment on my old Evo was like stock I really don’t get it why but I be on the lookout if I find something if not I’m good with what I have.
