The most basic place to find trade information is marketwatch.com or us census or https://ustr.gov/ all ot this is basic public information

That’s EXACTLY the biggest problem and why it’s hard to have civil discussions. I’m not stupid, but I also didn’t get a degree in business (or similar) nor do I have a job in such…so stuff like this isn’t “basic” to me and surely others too. The problem gets compounded because people (who are maybe less aware of their lack of knowledge) are more easily manipulated one way or another. THEN they’re too proud to admit that maybe they’re wrong. It’s a travesty!

I just try to keep an open mind and listen to people who have information based in facts. This is a good example. So, thank you for this!

I call it the “all in paradigm” see they all know they voted for a Moron (granted other choice wasn’t much better but at least would have kept the status quo) the issue is they never really believed he would do so many stupid things in such a short time frame. The appointee’s, the tariffs, not really doing much about immigration, the Elon deification, and now ghosting people who talk about certain countries. They know it’s bad but they burnt that mental bridge back to sanity, the Faustian deal has been made so there is only one way to go and even if it’s morally corrupt and completely devoid of the philosophies that built this country they will stay the path bc to relent would require a complete restructuring of their whole belief system and admitting that they were wrong and unfortunately they would rather burn it all down than admit that.

Made in America…with globally sourced parts. So it will still probably see a price hike (along with greedy dealers raising the price due to FL5 prices increasing due to the tariffs).

China/Japan/Korea have just said they will retaliate to the latest tariff increase on auto mfg.

86,Miata,GTI,Si,Mazda 3 all going to take a huge hit. These tariffs will for sure crush the hot hatch market.

Also, we all know that as enthusiasts the cars we love the most are made in Germany/Japan. That holds a special place for us because we know the level of detail that's taken compared to a car that's finished in the US. That's basically out of reach for most of us now.

Car sales are going to fucking tank, but enthusiast cars are going to die.
