Sprung a markup on me after we had agreed on a price. I now have an ITS reserved at MSRP, but I like the CTR more and I'm not sure the ITS is worth 52k to me.I thought you were able to agree to one that is in transit... ?
Yes, just scroll around and you'll see stickers that show the "MSRP" is whatever crazy ADM number they have. Even my docs are all over the place and make little sense, in the end as long as the # I paid OTD was what I agreed on I didn't really care what they called the markup or where it was put.I am picking up my Type R next week and the dealer is charging me the new MSRP that is $500 over what is listed on their website. I also doubt the window sticker will show the new pricing from Honda. Does this sound right? Are dealers able to represent an MSRP in the buyers order that does not align with the window sticker?
MSRP is just the bases for my pricing. I am also paying a markup. Just trying to minimize my OTD costs.Yes, just scroll around and you'll see stickers that show the "MSRP" is whatever crazy ADM number they have. Congrats on the pricing, as I'm sure you're aware getting anything under $5k ADM is an accomplishment!
Ok, the way you worded it sounded like you were at MSRP - what you are saying is they are charging you the NEW MSRP plus ADM. I'd focus on the end price more than where the markups are coming from.MSRP is just the bases for my pricing. I am also paying a markup. Just trying to minimize my OTD costs.
It depends on when the car was invoiced. It is a more predictable manner on vehicles built in the US.I am picking up my Type R next week and the dealer is charging me the new MSRP that is $500 over what is listed on their website. Hoehn Honda in San Diego has 2 Type R's in the showroom right now at $15K ADM plus about $1600 in "protection". Boost Blue and CW, I offered $5K over and they politely told me to go screw myself.
I would politely say the same thing to themHoehn Honda in San Diego has 2 Type R's in the showroom right now at $15K ADM plus about $1600 in "protection". Boost Blue and CW, I offered $5K over and they politely told me to go screw myself.
I only got a 5K ADM/55OTD offer made to me on a dealers next FL5 because I made a complaint to the GM about a bad experience I've had with two of his sales ppl lol I'm on the west coast so that to me is an impossible deal to findSo has anyone gotten $5K over recently? Bought my mother inlaw a CR-V last night from the same dealership. The sales manager offered me a small discount off their ADM on the CTR and said he would do a little better if I wanted it. Is the real world rate currently $8K? There are live listings in the midwest for $10K over right now and I assume I could do slightly better from them. Any feedback would be appreciated.
8.25% in NV.. but we get a tax credit on trade insDang, you must be in a state with very high taxes, my $8k ADM car came to just over $56k which is about the absolute max I was willing to pay/think the car is worth. It's edging very, very close to other machinery I like.
Seems like $8k is a "magic" number since a lot of the $10k dealers will take it and the $5k cars seem to go instantly.
