I don’t believe the core thickness is as much as the PRL intercooler so they compensated by increasing the overall frontal area instead. Tube and fin will flow better than bar and plate in quality applications. I’m interested to see what effect it will have on coolant temps and IAT, will let you all know shoetly
I couldn't find the weight of this intercooler. If you wouldn't mind providing that info.

Very interested in your testing and data!

It’s here! Very nice packaging and very high quality piece for sure. Shipping from Germany was 3 days flat! I’ll be installing this weekend and I then I’ll get a week of daily driving for some feedback for you guys.

Do you have Hondata? You can always log IAT’s and post intercooler temps here with the logs.

I’ll try and weight it tomorrow before install

@Jester04 I do have Hondata but during my daily drive it will be difficult to log. I’ve got a good visual baseline of the iats from new to now (10k miles) so I’ll provide some qualitative data 😎

Just press the log button on the flash pro to start and then again to stop and it will be stored on the flash pro. So you can probably do it at your convenience.

Really interested in how this performs, should be one of the best if not best for the fl5 Wagner is no joke. If I wasn’t so lazy about taking off the front clip I would get one to deal with the Texas heat.

I am anxious to see how this installs. The packaging and parts look very well finished. The intercooler was the first mod I wanted to do after tracking last fall but I didn’t like the PRL.

My only concern here is what the engine coolant temps may spike to since this appears to cover the entire radiator.

We were talking about this on the DE5 forum.
On one hand: it covers most of the radiator -- certainly more than most ICs.
On the other: it's a tube / fin design, so it should allow for better airflow than the bar / plate designs we have (i.e. PRL, etc.), and it's thinner than the PRL IC.

It remains to be seen what the overall impact on flow to the radiator is relative to PRL, etc. It covers more area, but it should be less restrictive on flow over the area it covers.

I'm really looking forward to some data on this when people have it.

I ordered this for my type s. Will be here Monday, a very quick delivery from Germany indeed. FWIW I called Wagner in Texas and they confirmed it fits US spec type R, hoping that translates to type s figment.
