Reading through the service manual a member posted on here a while back.
The service manual says that the 1.5L civic needs to have its upper (turbo-side) gasket replaced on but not the 2.0L (FL5) Civic when replacing the downpipe.
Seems kinda odd that the smaller engine needs a gasket swap and not the large one?
Additionally, the torque specs are lower on the upper (turbo-side) bolts/nuts.
Hoping others can shed light on why and if I'm even reading this correctly.
Pics attached for reference.
