Did you notice the detent with the stock mirror and lack of in the replacement? My new mirror went on smoothly but didn't have that ensuring detent.
No. I felt a really solid click into place. Never had any concerns about the fitment whatsoever.

If I had to complain about anything, the "shape" of the homelink mirror doesn't quite match the hatch glass "shape" as well as the original mirror did.

Thanks. I pass since it vibrates and the one on there now doesn’t. Vibrating mirrors is something that just bugs me for some reason.
Vibration is on the same level as any other car in cold temps. This car is better than I expected honestly if you consider how much stiffer the FL5 chassis is. Once the car is up to temp it completely goes away. I consider this completely normal.

For perspective, the upgraded rear motor mount introduces all sorts of vibrations in the cabin that are present constantly. That's pretty much where I drew the line.

The non-dimming mirror has no vibrations whatsoever. I’m not willing to live with that because it’s a peeve of mine unfortunately.

The mounting bracket is not 100% exact between both mirrors. Just need to ensure that it clicks in solid and it is seated properly.

I think it really varies between people.. mine vibrated and wasn’t tight fitting. I DIY’d it and it’s extremely tight now. No vibrations at any rpm, but it was a pain to get done. Basically had to cut the top 1/2ā€ of the top of the original mirror base and put it on the new mirror. But happy with it

I had the mirror on my SI and now on my FL5 and it never vibrated once nor did I ever feel like it had a bad or loose connection. You have to make sure it clips in properly.

Sounds like a hit or miss thing, but I would expect you could put in a metal or wood shim and get it tighter. Not elegant but a lot easier than Frankensteining the mirror, props to those who did it.

I picked up my FL5 yesterday, and was pleasantly surprised to see that it had Homelink. I know US and CDN spec Hondas have had differences in the past, but I hadn’t seen this mentioned on the forums
Mind asking your parts department what the part number is for a replacement? May be worth looking into if we could import the correct one.

What is the correct blend mount for this I have the same detector? Thanks

Another confirmation that this kit works for the Civic Si (2023). Love the setup! Went driving last night to test the auto dim/anti glare…totally worth the hassle! Took us ~2.5 hours to complete; I took the car apart and put it back together while I let my s/o handle wiring & cable management (his day job so he is way better and more efficient at that than me, lol).

We took the time to mount & hardwire my Escort Max Cam 360C so it would look cleaner and not fall off my windshield. I had the EZ Mag suction cup before, but he got me a BlendMount, and it looks SO much better. Good fit with the mirror, too.

Had an issue with a 20A & 15A fuse not being where it was supposed to be even after referencing the guide provided.. (haven’t touched the fuse box down there since I bought it) so I will include a few photos in case it helps anyone!

That A pillar clip though. My god.

No way! I happen to have that very one sitting in a drawer! Do you happen to remember if you required the nylon bushing or not? I do not have those anymore, but they are only $5.
Talk about luck! Yes, to prevent rattling

Just finished my install. Took about an hour and a half. I also installed the mirror tap for my radar detector / camera.

First attempt when I tilted the mirror down it popped off. I then bent all of the retaining pins in a bit. Reinstalled and it was much much sturdier. I don’t see it popping off now.

Driving I may get a tiny insignificant amount of wobble. But it’s so minor I doubt I would have noticed unless specifically looking for it.
Trim pieces all came apart easily and popped back without issue.
I did have a minor issue with what appears to be a mfg defect with my door seal. I am going to watch it and will address with Honda if it becomes a problem.

programming was easy, all in all $250 well spent.
