The "35" being a taller tire fills the gap more right? this boost blue doesnt look like it needs to get lowered (almost no wheel gap)

But I see this on same set up (Mendie, your client),see below and the only difference is how wide the tire is 275 vs 265 but it looks like there's more wheel gap. Is there an explanation or just the pics look deceiving? I prefer stock suspension.. Thanks!

275/35 will sit taller than a 265/35, the Gold just pops a bit more than the Bronze. Tire compound will also be at play as certain Michelins tends to run a bit wide compared to other compounds and brands.

Proud new owner of a 23’ BB Type R as of a couple weeks ago! Love the car. It compliments my Sebring silver 02’ S2000 nicely! Been a childhood dream to own two of Honda’s best. Would love to add an early 2000’s NSX to add the trio…maybe one day.

I took it to my body shop guy and had him paint match it with championship white paint.

How does it handle / ride compared to the s2k?

Stock for stock..IMO of course…the Type R handles better and feels more like it’s on rails..more precise and feels like a stiffer chassis. My S2k is on coilovers with wider wheels and tires though (Like most s2000’s nowadays I suppose lol). How the S2k currently sits I would say it’s pretty close to the Type R. The s2k is a bit more playful though with the whole rear wheel drive thing.

The shifter on the S2k is perfection though. I have the Renegade short shifter as well which makes shifts so short, precise, and positive feeling. When I first got the Type R I was impressed with the shifter. It’s a very good shifter. But once I got back in the s2000 after a month of not driving it I realized how much better the shifter is!

Type R is definitely faster as well. My S2000 is full bolt on (minus header as a header does really nothing for an N.A. s2000) and tuned on a LINK ecu. Type R has some traction issues in lower gears which keeps the s2000 almost neck and neck until third. After third the Type R pulls a couple car lengths away which is to be expected.

Overall I am very impressed with the Type R’s performance, comfort, overall drive ability and practically which is something the s2000 lacks. Great car through and through
