As I pulled out of my neighborhood this morning and started up the hill on the next road, I was faced with 4 cows cresting the hill and barreling down towards me in my lane. I started slowing down and checked my rear view to see another car fast approaching. All I could do was stop and prey these cows were going to be cool. They finally slowed down and came to a stop about 10’ in front of my car. All 4 just stood there admiring the sleek lines on the FL5 for 20 seconds or so, then began grazing on the side of the road. Phew! I started slowly trying to creep around them and they turned around and bolted back up the hill and into their field.
So, Add cattle herding to the list of things the CTR does well!
Mark my words, farmers will be snatching these cars up very soon.

No photo?!
I don’t know how it didn’t occur to me to photo or video this. I guess I was too worried about the safety of my car😂. What’s worse is that just 2 days ago my dash cam’s adhesive failed and I haven’t remounted it yet🤦‍♂️

I get a fair amount of bird shit on my car, usually within an hour of washing it.

Apparently they only like certain colors for whatever reason.

Found this interesting article about it.

As we see a large number of birds at Niles Animal Hospital and Bird Medical Center, I have become quite the expert on bird droppings. I came across this interesting article on the internet where a study was done in England where they were trying to determine which color of car attracted the largest number of bird droppings. (Maybe too much time on their hands?) Anyway it was an intriguing read.

To add my perspective to this. Through the years I have noticed certain things about birds, such as, they seem to be predominately left-footed (evidenced by which foot they hold their food in or reach out to grab something) and also that their favorite color is red (birds who are colored pellet eaters seem to prefer the red ones, followed by orange and green, with purple being the least favorite color). As they do see in color (unlike dogs and cats), color is very important to them. In the study described below, they were trying to determine why the birds preferred to poop on the red cars, suggesting various theories, but based on my experience I think it may be that they JUST LIKE THAT COLOR! Peter S. Sakas DVM

Also the results of the study.

The Halfords study found little difference between cities and the seaside in the colors that specific species of birds apparently aim for.

Researchers who compiled the results found 18 per cent of red cars were marked with droppings, blue 14 per cent, black 11 per cent, white 7 per cent, grey/silver 3 per cent, and green 1 per cent.

The wife and I started looking into this last week 😂

Many curvy roads in open grazing range out west. So add cattle, along with rock slide debris, oncoming cars in your lane, etc., to the potential fun around every blind corner.

Now that you mention it, holy shit yeah they do! I was wondering why a flock of flies was swarming my bride in the driveway the other day. I thought it strange. I don't keep food in the car. It's not a mound of dookie like my focus (se) was. So I was very confused. But you are absolutely correct.
