I’m still struggling to find any videos on YouTube showing meaningful increases in acceleration to consider messing with the factory setup and possibly losing warranty.

Lots of big dyno HP #’s have been posted but no side by side acceleration tests.

Skeptical adding 50hp can make this car more fun than stock that it’s worth killing resale value or warranty since it’s so great as is.

I am genuinely interested however in seeing what these tunes will do for the actual driving experience and acceleration times hence my post reply.

Why would it kill resale? Leave stock map on when car is sold. If you're that concerned about it keep being a warranty warrior.

My understanding is modification of the ECU is logged and is discoverable. Unless of course it’s a piggyback tune.

The Honda dealership, or any dealership for that matter isn't scanning ECUs in an attempt to determine if the ROM has been altered upon trade in and then assigning a lower value vis-á-vis a car with an unmodified ECU. Consumers are not doing that either prior to a private party sale. That just doesn’t happen. My advice with respect to the warranty and modifications is this: if you're concerned about a potential warranty issue, don't modify the car. The 3 year 36,000 mile Limited Warranty and the 5 year 60,000 mile Powertrain warranty will be up soon enough, wait it out.

I had posted these a while back, have not done any recent ones but the car is even faster than before since it was just the base map. So there is a considerable difference.

I mean the car struggles with traction at stock hp levels so I can't imagine there will be a big jump in 0-60 times on the street with a tune. A rolling start or punching it around 2.500 is where you will feel the increased power.

And to follow up on a comment about dealers scanning the ECU for tunes, they won't do it until you have a warranty issue that is drivetrain related. Then they will scan it and could choose to deny the claim. The ECU, like most modern ECU's, log changes that indicate flashing tunes, it can't tell them a tune was loaded and what it was, but there is no other reason for a fresh clock on the ECU unless someone loaded or removed a tune.

Do any of these tunes minimize or eliminate the rev hang on the factory setting?
Ours does, I would imagine the competitor's does as well. It's a pretty standard thing to do once we get into the ECU.

This is accurate, I don’t consider TSP a competitor since I buy all my parts from them, they have been good to me. As far as the rev hang goes it’s disabled from the get go with Hondata.

Traction issues could be fixed with tuning.

I keep hearing conflicting reports on this. Can we get some more feedback? I feel like I've been told the same behavior occurs if you disconnect the battery, etc., and that there are valid explanations (the exception probably being right before you bring it into the dealer).
