The steering wheel harness is differe

The wheel harness is different, but the clockspring is the same
alright then i will start looking for another harness or wheel, whichever is easier and/or cheaper.

appreciate it

See if the startup screen says anything. Actually I can prob go check since the Acura store is literally out the side door from where I work.
I strongly believe that the acura logo will pop up. I’m okay with that, however most aren’t! The Base integra is the only Cluster that will fit and has Vehicle Settings integrated. All the other clusters don’t. Without Vehicle settings being accessible this cluster swap is a deal breaker for most people, including me!

Acura Cluster came in. Works as it should! Vehicle settings are now adjustable like before with the half digital cluster! You still get warnings for Blind Spot and Brake System however now the TPMS light will stay on since Acura has actual tpms readouts whereas honda doesn’t!. I like this gauge a lot more overall because it is wildly more compatible than the Touring cluster! Nuts i know lol

Now we just have to finish testing the Canadian Si cluster and our journey towards the darkside shall be complete!

Figured I gave an update as I'm encountering issues.

Steering wheel controls now work with type R wire harness

I installed proximity sensors from MIK store which utilize the CAN bus cables near the OBDII port. The canadian cluster does not like those apparently so it refuses to communicate with the parking sensors. Unplugging the cluster and testing shows the proximity sensors working fine. The sensors show up in the infotainment when in reverse when the gauge is unplugged. Once the canadian gauge is plugged in, the proximity sensor will stop functioning.

I'm now looking into OEM options as the touring sedans come with parking sensors so I have a feeling that it's possible to do this

I'll keep this thread alive. Ha, still loving each day the Type-r cluster in the Si. Everything works as it should.

Any update on this? My plan was to get the Mikstore parking sensors too and clear this error, but now I'm concerned.

Unfortunately, I’m at out. I sold my cluster on eBay. From what I can tell, Honda uses low speed follow as part of the Honda sensing suite. This requires their parking sensor module and cannot be done with the Mikstore alternative. It was fun experimenting, but that’s it for me.

Not even worth it anymore because all other model trims have too many options that we don't. You'll see constant errors on the unit.

I know you're out of the game now, but did you try calibrating the parking sensors? From what I've read, whenever the OEM sensors are unplugged, there's a chance they'll need to be recalibrated. Some Honda forums reference successful user recalibration (Pilots and Ridgelines), but others say it needs to be done by a dealer.

My thoughts on your prior issue (retrofitted Mikstore parking sensors with a Canadian Si cluster): the Canadian SI cluster is looking for its original parking sensor angle values. but the retrofitted sensors have different values and it throws a parking code. The infortainment screen parking features work, and you don't get any errors because the USDM Si gauges don't have parking sensor error functionality. Once you plug in the full digital cluster (which has the ability to show a parking sensor error v. the USDM Si gauges), you receive the error.
