Canadian dealer asked what colour Type R I want

LMFAO damn, new guy already making shit up!! Hoping he got seriously reprimanded, that kinda shit can really mess with biz, specially where social media is involved. Word spreads like wild fire.

I get it, he's a new sales guy, probably wants to show he can sell. Probably just got a little over zellus.

I imagine the sales manager will likely point him in the proper direction for going forward. Bit of piece of mind that I'm still good to go though

I’d really like to know if they are the original seller of the vehicle. I have no doubt they are.

So they all bagged on it during its break in period and now they mark it up 38k and try and sell it…like I said drug dealer bait.

If anyone wants to know, I phoned up a dealer in Alberta and was told straight up they have an allocation for 2023, but they're reselling it 6 months after it arrives.

And this is why I was absolutely paranoid that my dealer was going to screw me out of mine(which they almost did).

I don’t know when or how but I hope these greedy sales managers get a hefty helping of Karma for Christmas. This type of sales greed fucks everyone looking to get a Type R. Not only the FL5’s but the FK8’s will stay up there as well.

I wonder if VW was getting the 65-70k they were asking for the Golf R’s. If so I don’t see why Honda dealers will back down on there price markups.

I’ve already got a dealership in Calgary asking me if I want to sell mine…

I feel like that's a BS excuse. Formula Honda is doing the same thing with their cars as well. Buddy of mine received this after inquiring about a CTR in mid november:

We went back and fourth a few times and he seemed pretty concerned with who was saying that and getting to the bottom of it. I feel he was being honest. But like you say, how can you really know with dealers being sketchy.

Maybe I need to phone formula Honda and tell them I have a 2022 GR86 to trade on a type r lol see what happens

The white one is sold by a guy on Fb who keep telling everyone he bought it for msrp in Ontario! Then 2 weeks later he sold it to the VW dealer.

Nothing at all, which is pretty frustrating in contrast to all the action in the US threads, they've all got trackable VIN numbers and such.
So far the communication and organization on the CA side has been trash.
