Everyone ready to hate dealers even more. From a guy in a GR86 group I'm in. 2 CTR's sold from Honda dealers to thus volkswagen dealer. Both have been sold already for $72k and $75k since theyre "used". The games these dealers play are ridiculous...
We went back and fourth a few times and he seemed pretty concerned with who was saying that and getting to the bottom of it. I feel he was being honest. But like you say, how can you really know with dealers being sketchy.
Maybe I need to phone formula Honda and tell them I have a 2022 GR86 to...
I get it, he's a new sales guy, probably wants to show he can sell. Probably just got a little over zellus.
I imagine the sales manager will likely point him in the proper direction for going forward. Bit of piece of mind that I'm still good to go though
I genuinly think some of their sales guys are exactly what gives car sales man bad reps, completely full of shit. This is kind of the problem with these limited production cars, so much miss information. That's why I went over the sales guys head immediately because it was evident he was just...
Newest email back from the Sales Manager. I've been dealing with him since the early on, he seems like a pretty genuine dude and he's been fairly up front with me. It seems it's the sales guys trying to grease some palms on an extra sale.
" We had already planned to keep one of the Type R’s for...
Here's his reply to it.
" the Type R in the showroom is not for sale. Our group is keeping that unit in the showroom for marketing and display purpose. "
I shared the youtube link with him, he wanted to know what was happening, perhaps give the sales guy whos telling people they can have it...
I think technically the dealer can purchase it themselves. Seems like that's how some of these BC dealers that are selling the "used" cars are doing it. A little sketchy none the less either way. We'll see what happens, at this point I'm not holding my breath on getting one.
Yeah they definitely do. I'm told I'm number 4 on their list, they're getting 6, I believe they have several more people on a list then what is available. Not sure if this pushes me back to 5th... We'll see what he emails me back saying, but I'm going to try my best to bump myself up on that car lol
See that's where I'm at for the Type R. I'm supposedly getting a 2024 model year, not sure when it will show up though. So I don't see a Type S beating it to the dealer by much or any at all for that matter. So I think I'll just hold tight and ride the wave, worst case I guess I don't get it and...
I don't see a $60k price tag, seeing as their manual A-Spec top trim currently is only $$42k, same as the SI (same motor too? correct me if I'm wrong?). I think this one will slot in very close to the CTR price.
