Have you received your car yet? Are you satisfied with Montway?
I did receive it this morning and I would recommend Montway. Pricing and scheduling was transparent. But of coarse YMMV since Montway is a broker and overall experience may be dependent on the transport assigned to your car.

Congrats! Their Yelp reviews made me think twice, but I think I'll give them a try.

I just received my car today from Nebraska. The car has 8 miles. I highly recommend Lucky Star Auto Transport. They picked it up two days after i signed the contract with them, and the car arrived two days later. It's funny that there was another FL5 in the same spec. going to San Jose.

I am surprised that it does not come with any type R specific manual in the glove box. Is this normal? Thanks.

Congrats! My dealer put my owners manual and other paperwork in the tire repair kit area in the trunk.

Usually the manual covers all hatchbacks, Type R and the others.
The pages will have notes saying which cars the sections cover. Annoying, but the manuals have been this way for a long time.

I just completed the dmv visit today and can confirm dmv still sucks. At least they now have an online system to let you know where you are at in line so I can leave and grab a beer while I waiting for my number.

Along with the registration app and cert of origin (my title is with the lien), I brought along the smog report and got the vin verification before even entering the building (pull your car up and someone comes out to verify).

Don’t forget to bring cash/check to avoid the transaction fees for cards (even debit has a fee). If you’re paying taxes that the dealer didn’t collect, the dollar value from the fee can be pretty high.

After all that was done, they handed me the registration, reg sticker, and physical perm plates which I wasn’t expecting. I thought I would get temp plates.

How long did you drive your car before performing smog check?

Roughly 150mi with just normal commute driving. I also have a Veepak OBD2 reader and used the OBD Fusion app to confirm all emission sensors were completed before bringing it in for smog.
