This is a 200-cell cat, and the included spacer won't eliminate any CEL's unless the car is tuned for it. Not implying here that 27WON's Catted Downpipe doesn't require a tune - the only one which can get away on a factory tune is TSP's Catted Downpipe, utilizing a GESi High Flow Cat which is emissions compliant.

What I meant was that as long as you have a Hondata FlashPro, you can run any downpipe with the right tune settings and not have a CEL.

The real question isnā€™t if the cel can be tuned out the real question is will the car be able to achieve emissions readiness and pass an obd 2 check? Correct me if Iā€™m wrong but the only downpipe that can do that is the TSP one correct?

Thanks...Important information for those considering to purchase. So another words:
  • Turboback: Installation will require tuning to avoid a CEL.
  • Catback: When paired to the stock or TSP downpipe, installation will not result in a CEL.
If my car was completely stock, I would opt for the Turboback as it includes a replacement for the stock downpipe all in one package. Prior to installation, I think it should be noted that an ECU unlock and Hondata FlashPro are also required to avoid a CEL.

this is all true plus the fact that if you live somewhere that requires emissions testing you will fail it if you have anything other than the tsp downpipe (of all the current dp offerings)

so you would need to uninstall the 27won downpipe and change hondata settings so you car will go into emissions readiness

I want an exhaust system. I want this exhaust system. I just don't want a check engine light if I do a downpipe. The downpipes seem to be sensitive this generation.
Yeah, so far no CELs that we've encountered using a defouler or tuning. Most opt for CEL disable through tuning when using 27WON downpipe. It's been like that for a few years now. BUT, it's always possible that it trips a CEL so we put out an advisory.

I currently have the Twostep Performance 5" HEDP and a 3" PRL Front Pipe. Can I order the 27W exhaust kit (resonated version) without the downpipe and keep my PRL front pipe installed, or will I need to replace it with the 27W front pipe? I wouldnā€™t mind having a spare front pipe either way!

I'm highly thinking about ordering the exhaust kit. Or should I wait for the option to purchase just the catback without the front pipe at a lower cost?

Milltek and YonRistic Founders Edition are at the top of my list right now so if you're able to push the decision any hit me up via DM. *wink wink*

@Vlad@27WON can you help clarify the above please?
You'll need to ditch that frontpipe. We include a (larger) 80MM frontpipe with all kits.

But also, wait for the specific catback for use with that downpipe and hold off just a bit. It will be out in a few months

Turbobacks can avoid a CEL by tuning or using (supplied) defouler.

Catbacks: No CEL, no issues as the catalytic converter is not changed

It seems like @Vlad@27WON edited some posts above as I was thoroughly confused earlier reading the whole resonated vs. non-resonated. It kept being referred to incorrectly.

Most of us with a stock downpipe want the NON-resonated version which is coming later.

I don't understand why removing the resonator would delay things but maybe they made the decision about using the resonator for everyone and then found that it was too quiet on stock downpipes and had to make another batch after the fact.
I don't think I edited anything. Edited threads are marked as such....Maybe you were reading another thread about this exhaust?

Non-res catbacks will be out in a few months.

Just little bit confused,

Simple question: Is the 80mm front pipe fits the 3rd party OE placement downpipe?

That means it fits most of the downpipe as they are OE placement.
Yeah, our 80MM frontpipe will bolt onto OE and 3rd parts downpipes.

Can you please post a video of non-res catback? I am trying to determine how different it will sound from your current promo videos with turbo backs. If itā€™s significantly worse, then some, me included, might opt out for a different brand entirely. I am hoping not to wait another 3 months without an exhaust.

Resonated catbacks are available for 27WON downpipe users now. yep.

Non resonated is primarily geared towards OE downpipe users and that fitment will come online later. Hope that helps clear up things further ;-)
Hey Vlad, sorry if this is redundant but can you verify what setup weā€™re hearing in the published video clip? Is that with OE downpipe and resonated 27W setup?

I don't have any at the moment. Non-res catbacks were designed for OE downpipes. The tone between the two will be very similar. The main reason for the resonator on turboback is to keep resonance away and NVH to a minimum due to high flow downpipes being used.

That was a resonated turboback using the 27WON downpipe in that video šŸ˜

Great. I will wait then. I think itā€™s going to be the most popular option as most people donā€™t want to mess with check engine lights, tuning, and warranty issues. Please let me know if there is anyway to preorder.

Thanks for confirming.

Can the valve be independently controlled?
