Im sure Acura dealers are gearing up their excuses on why it’s marked up $20k……

1) you can’t get a Type R anymore
2) used Type R’s are super expensive
3) This is the last performance model for Acura

Get your CTR or ITS now if you want it, its not going to get any cheaper.
There's bound to be dealers out there willing to do msrp or under... Not many people are buying cars when repos are at all time high.

Guys, the CTR is not out of reach. You don't have to pay a mark-up, taxes, dealer fees, import fees, doc fees, administrative fees, credit check fees or be pressured into selecting a care-plan for your vehicle or be subject to Trump's 25% Tariff plan...

You know why?

Because I'm selling my baby for $45,500 flat. Less than 17k miles. Average 25.3mpg. Babied. Stock (minus resonator delete)

Yup! Check Autotrader or Cars for all pics. Zip 27565(or DM me).

A used 2024 with 17k miles for about the same price of a new 2025? Nothing about this is attractive.

yet and that is what the car is actually worth. He isn’t inflating the price. As type R owners we should all be ecstatic our cars hold their value that well. I am planning to keep mine for the long haul, but I also know that someday I will trade it/sell it for something else. When that time comes I am happy to know the hit I take on depreciation won’t be extreme.

Except your car is holding its value. And PS: That's cheap

Yes sir! I actually listed 2k lower than what KBB suggested. Also, keep in mind that the CTR in Europe is close to 90K.
If I were to import my CTR to France, they want a 36,000 Euro C02 emissions fine (+ import, doc fees & registration).
That's 45k to ship my car.

So everything is relative and you shouldn't be complaining especially if you already own one. Enjoy it

Communist as far as the eye can see.
I'm a firm believer in sharing of opinions and having different values. I'm not politically well guided IMO, but there's pros and cons to everything right? I think the impacts and opinions of both parties are always to going to make some happy or not. There's good and evil in everything. You'll never please everyone.

However, I think when opinions and differences of thought seep into hate and people start ridiculing one another, name calling, and trying to make it seem like people are stupid based on their own opinions or interpretations of things, I think both sides have lost. People are powerless by themselves and can only truly incite change in numbers, so people should work together rather than against each other, to create change. So, it's a shame to see people act these kinds of ways. Especially on a forum about cars we all love. This community looks like it does not like each other when you read stuff like this, which is crazy considering we are all here for the same reason.

No matter what, at the end of the day, we alone cannot perpetuate the change we want to see and in fact must ride the wave we don't want to be on. My advice, control what you can in your own life and try to worry less about what you can't and rather focus on how the challenge you're up against can be dealt with. Try and have civil conversations when possible but once they veer off just get off the train, it's not worth engaging in political banter that ultimately becomes a pissing match. Save money, invest in what you know, maintain a good job, appreciate those around you that you love, and live every day working toward a goal you can control. Be happy, live life, and provide for those you love.

Maybe a bunch of worthless words coming from me, but it's got to be exhausting to argue like this at some point.

Anyway, Tariffs suck, we'll pay more, and we will get over it. None of us on the forum have the power to prevent it from happening so plan on how you'll handle it. Hope for the best, expect the worst. Who knows, the tariffs could always just end up getting pushed back or cancelled anyway lol.

I'm not calling in to question the market value of the vehicle. The value proposition is simply not a good one with MY25 models inbound and on the ground all over the country selling for MSRP. As I said previously, it's just not an attractive deal. There's nothing controversial about that statement. If I were looking for an FL5 right now, I wouldn't give it a look. The difference in new vs. used auto loan rates alone makes purchasing new a no brainer.

Wasn't gonna deal with the tariffs, so I bought a type R. Got it below MSRP, so I'm pretty happy, and I own it too, so that's a bonus.

No that's a opinion communism is a religion.
Pot, kettle.

This statement really shows your lack of understanding regarding political or economic systems and the arguments you've made previously now make much more sense.
