2025 Fl5 will now be over 47k msrp after destination. It is getting out of hand how everything keeps going up but our pay.

In general, I agree with you; the trend re: median wage changes vs. price level changes is disgusting.

That said, this is a sub-2% increase. If pricing on all goods stayed within 2% year-over-year, that would be a miracle.

The fk8 was a 35k car when released is just wild that in 8 years it's 12k more.

While there are shared components (like much of the powertrain), it is a different car with a new platform, and it is a significant step upwards in terms of amenities. It is not quite apples to apples to compare FK8 pricing to FL5.

Even having said that, the price increase is essentially even with price level (as a recent commenter just pointed out). Another way to look at this is that, in 2016, the FK8 was an expensive car -- just as expensive as the FL5 is now.

Car prices are not the issue; lack of wage increases are the issue. The problem is simply spotlighted when it comes time to exercise your purchasing power. While the price of the FL5 might be the thing that gets your attention here, don't let it distract you from the real issue. Point your dissatisfaction in the right direction (wages).

TLDR: if your boss doesn't give you a raise, yell at your boss (better yet -- start looking for a new job), not at the store manager who increased the price of bread in line with the price of ingredients.

Us 2024 buyers paid 1800 more than the 2023 cars. That sucked.

And many parts of the country are still charging ADM... So you're paying $2600 + ADM in these areas compared to 2023 models.

Well...Honda did a price increase twice for MY 23. Final msrp was $45,345 for CW,BB, and SGP. $1K less than MY24. But yes if you were able to purchase some of the earlier 23's, they were about $1900 less.

Only pay MSRP like I did

If everyone stops folding to dealer mark ups, we're gonna be in a good position..... but if you keep buying this car with the stupid tax, the dealers will keep ripping you off

Honda wants a piece of the action, so better them, then the dealer

my big beef with honda, is you are paying 50k for a car in the USA and they removed the parking sensors, folding mirrors, and rear tinted windows… like the rest of the world is getting.

That’s a cheap move Honda for your biggest market!
