Basically the only part you need to have Honda do is program the cluster for the swap, but you'd literally have to swap the cluster out in the service drive or dealer lot in order to not have a mileage discrepancy. I don't understand why they wouldn't be able to just pull out the old cluster and put the new one in and bolt it up if you already had everything ready to be unplugged/unbolted.

Basically get it to this point and then have them program and pull the old one and put the new one in it's place and you will put everything back together yourself.

im either going to do it in the lot or take it out take em both to in with wifes car and have em do it like that unless they need the car there.

I think they may need the car to make sure the mileage matches on the ECU and the cluster. Like I said, just pull the dash apart to that point and tell them you need the new cluster programmed to the same as the old one so you can swap them or they can just pull the old one and screw the new one in place and that's all you need them to do.

how hard was it to get to this point. Thinking about doing this myself and do exactly what you’re saying to do

Fun times. I hope you left the cluster in there so the mileage will be correct. 😂

Mine took a while to go correct. I don't know if it was because it sat inside a cool shop for so long or what. Works fine now though

Same with mine. After about 10 miles it’s correct now.
