On my 2022 Civic SI was done last March 0f 2024 and the new rack was install. Just pickup a 2025 Type R and the VIN was not on the recall list.
Okay, good for you? Little confused. Did you mean to reply to me or did you mean to just post in the thread about the recall?

My wife's 2024 Civic is at the dealer today for the steering rack fix and an oil change.
She never noticed any problem with the steering.
I don't drive her car much, but I did over the last weekend. It was pretty bad.
In a straight line on the highway, it wanted to stay in a straight line. It resisted minor corrections, then moved with a small snap.
On two-lanes, especially smooth curves, the wheel wanted to stay at the angle where I moved it for the curve. Almost no centering action.
At least I now know what it felt like before the fix. I'll drive it again when we get it back later today.

As I said earlier, I got my wife's Civic done yesterday. I drove it this morning.
It's like a different car. The notchy feeling has gone away. Small wheel movements don't fight me.
If anyone is hesitating to get this done, my advice is to stop hesitating.

Have any USA Type R owners received the recall notice by mail?

I've seen nothing.
I received two notices but the car is in storage, so I'll deal with it in the spring time.

Do the dealers now have the kit on hand? I want to get it done in the next few weeks

Went in for a oil change & NY inspection not wanting to wait several hours for recall but Honda service said they had the kits & all 3 services were done within 1.5 hours. Consult with your service center to double-check for procedure.

I got mine done yesterday and it’s a huge difference for me. No more sticky steering and no clicking noises as of now.

Taking mine in tomorrow for the recall and an oil change in Miami. This should be quite the experience! Everything in Miami a dumpster fire on the service side. Thank god for the weather! LOL

I had the recall done today. Steering night and day different. Returns to center naturally. Rotated the wheel is much easier. Glides effortlessly. Also, had oil changed and tires rotated.

My right front shock is leaking so they ordered me a new one. Covered by warranty. Crazy the shock and replacement is $1,050. Covered by dealer.
