Ive had half a dozen dash cams and still cant find a reliable one. Tried cheap ones all the way to Owl Cam, Ring, and Escort which were over $200. Owl Cam was great but they ran out of business. They are running again but I dont trust them. The Escort dash cam is a pain in the ass to access videos.
I've never had a dash cam but always thought, perhaps misguided, that Blackvue was the gold standard. Thoughts?

Hello all, I thought a few of you would appreciate this. I now have these in all of my vehicles, super easy to work with and they look OEM. The install took about 10 minutes, uses a plug from the upper light panel behind the mirror, and produces pretty good video. The camera has a memory card and a phone app and records sound. Unfortunately I’ve sold the car so I do not have any video to show from it, but there examples on YouTube.

You can purchase the exact kit at this link

Does the FitcamX interfere with the cars sensors e.g. Honda Sensing, or severely drain the car battery?

I have a U1000 front and rear cam w/ radar module that I havent installed in the FL5 yet - I took it out of my FK8 before I traded it in.

Not sure I am going to bother installing it.. I needed it because I was street parking a lot and also living in an apartment but now that I have a house and rarely street park I dont know if I want to bother with the wiring, etc.

For the money it was good - the quality of the recording was good but the parking feature sucked (which is why I shelled out money for this in the first place, for the radar module).

Resurrecting from the dead...

I've emailed customer service on the FitcamX, but perhaps someone else can help me out. I've got it installed, downloaded the phone app, and I'm trying to get it connected. The instructions say "use CAR-######" and a password of 12345678. I see that on my phone, type in the password, and it says "unable to join network".

Then there is a second wifi network - car-cam-#######. I tried connecting to that, put in that same password, and it let me get on the network but it doesn't recognize it in the app.

Anyone have a solution to this?
