And you’re absolutely right about the Civic. Plenty of people think spending $48K on one is crazy. But when you're on a forum dedicated to a $48K Civic, you’re inevitably going to hear everyone’s opinion—whether you like it or not.

Yes strut a tower brace is stupid for a car with a very ridged chassis already. No matter if it's 200 or 2k. However not a big deal if it's making him happy.

This is very true. I only bought one for my car because it was cheap and reminds me of the 90's Hondas of my youth.

My original comment was a response to your statement about a $2,000 strut bar not being within everyone's budget. The reference to the banana purchase was a way to highlight that just because you can buy something doesn’t mean you should.

What make sense to you doesn't mean it has to make sense to others and vice versa. The rich guy eating the banana got your attention and so did my $2000 strut bar both served its purchase.

I'm not sure why some individuals in the car community feel negative on how people spend their money or how one individualize their cars. When the FL5 was released people hated the price tag and only see it as an over priced civic and same with the nissan r34. As an FL5 owner I'm happy FL5 is priced high. Supply and demand. Every part purchase and installed on my FL5 has a purpose. Thanks for the support brother.

Regardless it doesn’t matter one way or the other what you buy and put on your car but you can’t expect everyone to only say nice things.

Brother...you should let this go. People hate for a variety of reasons: jealous, insecure, envy, power, first amendment, because they want to be provactive. Oh and the cloak of secrecy and safety the Interweb provides. The same people clowning you are the same ones back slapping with you at a Cars and Coffee telling you how dope your car is. This is what people do.

I like your build. It's not 100% how I would build my car, but that's ok. As @TypeRD mentioned, I'm drawn to the JDM goodness. Keep it up, I love to see it. I don't see many out there doing it like you.

Comparing the honda community to nissan. The Honda community is I see so much support for one another and that's what I love about this community 🫰
