Btw I drained 0w20 after 1500 miles and a 2 day track event. Oil was a little sparkly. Ugh. I hope it's just new engine break in? Second oil change and 6600 miles total. I am moving up to 0w30 and a thicker 30 weight based on 2 days of bob is the oil guy "research" 🤮
Switch to 5w30. I didn't have the same sparkles on the original engine or the 4piston engine, and I cut the oil filter open on both of them.

I picked up a 0w30 (mobil 1 esp) but with a HTHS on the very top end of a 30 weight. Has the VW 504 and Porsche c30 approvals. High viscosity at operating temp and at 150c as well. Oil is kind of a mystery and can't really know unless an oil analysis is done after the fact. So I guess I'll find out. A 40 weight seemed a bridge too far for a primarily street driven car. I don't want to change oil before and after an event. I'm sure I'm overthinking it.

Waaaaaaaaaaaay overthinking it. IIRC other countries use 5w30 as the factory fill. Ditch the "0"!!!

Lol yes I am. This is a thick 30 weight higher than some of the other 40 weight. So next time maybe lol.

Has anyone in this thread replaced the rear camber arms with adjustable ones? I have the SPC sitting on the shelf but the inner bolt looks like a massive pita to get to. I haven't really been able to find any tips for removal. Maybe I'll just pay to have it done.

Waiting for the on-track photos..
Me too lol. I'm here by myself so no on track pics to share. Car feels sooo good. Much better than my last weekend end of June. Oil temps at 250-255 water around 220. Track is a blast. Blind corners, off camber, decreasing radius, elevation changes - lots of stuff going on

I dropped 30 seconds from first session to 4th session. I'm familiar enough with the track now I just need to work on braking. Story of my life 🤣

Went out in my instructors GT4 RS. That was different 🤣 first time in mid engine. And hauling ass 🤣
