Is it still so hard to get MSRP that people are going several states away?

I need to buy in New England this July.
It is still a thing. The lowest I was able to find here in Florida was 2k over msrp that’s just addendum not including anything else that they will try to say is part of the msrp like dealer installed accessory add ons (floor mats, trunk mat, etc)

Anywho, I did finally get lucky and just signed on one for MSRP in Ohio that is still in transit. Will be getting shipped to me and my trade in picked up from home.

I’ll post the salespersons business card here tomorrow when he sends it over. Smooth signing process. No pushy add ons at financing. Everything was clear.

I just placed my deposit for a CTR in transit to OH! Which dealership did you work with in OH? And are you arranging your own transportation?

Lindsay Honda and nope they are handling all the transport. I also asked to have all the interior plastics remain on. I’ll have the car detailed once it arrives at my house. As of today the car was still in transit, from California

Where in New England are you? I live in central MA and bought my CTR for MSRP from Lia Honda in Albany NY last May. I’ll be happy to give you the contact info for my salesperson. She was great to work with.

Make sure to have your salesperson take some hi-res photos when your car unloads from the truck especially since they are the one handling all the transport to your place.

Probably who I bought mine from in April, but I don't think she is there anymore.

Did you pay extra for transport or did they cover this? If you did pay extra, how much was it?
I paid for the transport through their approved carrier, I don’t know the specifics as the type r is still in transit. I could’ve flown there and drove the car back but since I had a trade in I was like let’s just do it both ways.

Although I didn’t purchase from here. I was in constant communication with this sales consultant. If you’re looking for a CTR at MSRP shoot him a message. If they don’t have it they will try and allocate from another dealer.

FL5 Boost blue
This was on my car when I picked it up in Ohio. I paid $44,396.73 before taxes and fees. It was worth having to drive it back to Texas. People must not like boost blue. They had 2 when I picked up my car which I believe they would sell for the same price. They were still available the last I checked.

Los Angeles area

not yet. best I got was $5K over without any dealer installed accessories/options

one dealer said that they have done $3K over, but with a few thousands of dealer installed accessories

I might get one out-of-state, yet it seems to be a pain to do that, and I do not like the idea of getting a car sight unseen without being able to inspect before taking delivery.
