Hey everyone,

For those that are running the newer batch of Spoon springs (Black insulators on all four springs), can you send side profile pictures of your FL5? Is there reverse rake like the first batch of Spoon springs? Im hearing mixed things, so it would be greatly appreciated to see some pictures and put this to rest.

Thank you in advance!

I was the first ones to have the Fl5 springs ordered and installed. They had the black insulators on my set. The part number is the same so Idk why there are rumors of a new “Revised” set. Spoon spring will have the “Look” of the front sitting bit higher, but in fact the car is sitting leveled.

As someone who has spent way too much time looking at lowering springs I really wanted to get Spoon. But I have never found a single photo that doesn’t have at least a some degree of reverse rake. The revised springs are better but it’s still there. I decided to go with H&R in the end but haven’t gotten around to installing them yet.

Ive had Spoon springs and the rear sag was terrible. Im on Swift now and would like a slight increase

Thanks Robo7!

I’ve had Spoon before. Currently on Swift and overall happy. But getting a front lip. So I was considering the newer Spoon springs for a little height increase and the better ride quality.

My OCD won’t allow me to have reverse rake, so I’m likely better staying with Swift.

Yeah I don't think the 0.2" (5mm) in extra clearance you would get from Spoon is going to make any difference if your primary motivation for switching is to save your front lip from a few potential scrapes. If you are happy with the Swift springs just keep them.

I'm still considering Spoon springs but leaning towards Prokit or H&R. If I go with Spoon, I'd want to get the rear spring spacers that tezzasaurusrex in this forum developed to remove the reverse rake. I'm just not sure if he still had some laying around since it seems it's been a while since he developed them.
