The pros still outweigh the cons even with the vibrations. And in my case music drowns it out (i dont even play it very loud). I just happened to turn it off the other day and noticed the hatch going wild. Seems to be the panel just vibrating off the glass. should be able to wedge something in there to dampen it....hopefully lol
Back in my FK8 days (aka last week) I found a very handy material to stuff into joints to add some pressure and stop creaks/rattles.

A Kleenex folded onto itself into a puffy square. As long you don't see it in your line of sight it's a perfect quick fix.

LOL I opted for some foam pipe insulation. Sliced it up and jammed it in. We shall see how that goes

Mine makes some noise at idle with the ac on but it’s clearly just motor harmonics being transferred into the front part of the chassis. Part of the tradeoff of going with a solid motor mount versus the factory mount that’s tuned for comfort and nvh. Absolutely love the way the car feels versus how it was before, biggest change from all the mods except the tune. I’ve had true solid motor mounts on a build before and solid trans mounts so it’s pretty benign compared to that, it’s really a matter of perspective. Also have had other cars where motor mounts/chassis mounts have made the car worse to drive, definitely not worth the compromise if that’s the case. Time will tell if it mellows out some but out of the gate, the prl mount is a winner in my book.

Installed mine with 1k miles down here in FL. Vibrations are there from cold to warm engine temps, with vibrations diminishing when the engine warms up. But my AC is basically always on and is very noticeable when the AC is off verses on. It is what it is, there's trade offs for everything and the extra vibration/rattling gets outweighed by everything else the mount offers.

I have the PRL RMM. My rear hatch vibrates as well. When it occurred, I used one of my golf clubs to add pressure, and it went away. I guess the panel is not very snug; I'm sure you could stick something in there to make it stop.

lol, that's why removed mine. and yet, i'm thinking i'm going to reinstall it because the car drives so bad with the OEM mount.
I considered removing mine just to see if that really is my issu

I had a similar finding last night. Just added some pressure with my hand at the center of the rear panel and it stopped. I ordered some 5mm sound deadening materiel. If i can figure out how to pop the rear panel off i'll line the edges with it this weekend.

Probably could have taken it to the dealer and have them sort out the rattles. (They don't need to know that you have an aftermarket RMM installed)

That is a terrible idea..
Right? The second they fire up the car, they'll know lol.

I'm hoping the Hasport 62A doesn't rattle too crazy. Went with that over the PRL even though I knew the PRL isn't as stiff. Hasport was great on my FK8.

I only have around 200 miles on the PRL RMM and there are times at idle when there NO vibrations.

In what condition does the car drive so badly with the OEM mount?

I not sure what I was suspecting but I just installed my PRL RMM and the increase in NVH is very minimal. I was a bit apprehensive from some of the anecdotal reports of increased vibrations. At cold start any increased vibrations aren’t noticeable. The only time I feel the increased vibrations is with the A/C compressor running. Luckily no new rattles anywhere.
