it is absolutely crazy to me dealers are still doing a markup and people are still buying them. I had 2 dealers offer me msrp, the one I know the GM, BUT, back in march on my first attempt he was only going 5k, unfortunately he could not get me the BB. Even the dealer I got mine from "only" had $7500, i live in Baltimore not like some small town were they may never see one. Still, that is CRAZY high, at least I understand why you had to negoiate all night with your dealer!

My dad live in Naples, he took his pilot in for service and they had a 36k mile 2023 with the dyno attached at just over 500whp, for $89K lolol. They attached the mod list, prl bolt ons, upgraded clutch and flexfuel, first off i was gonna say who in their right minds but i guess surrounded by multi million dollar homes some kid got daddy to buy it, and overpay for it lol. this was only in August, I added up the mods on the list- under 10k in parts, and they still saif fuck it and listed it that high lol.

I am a month in, and this has been the best car I have ever driven as far as driver experience. The Viper I rented is the only thing that tops it, but that was built differently than just a great experience haha.

I hoping to jailbreak the ecu next week, but just the PRL intake alone would have been enough honestly with just the sound
improvement. I had an RSX new in 2004, and I ran hondata on that car as soon as I hit 1k miles, drove it
for 11 years, 170k miles and never had a single issue with the tune, and I am only gping to run the OTS hondata map for 93 octane anyway, at least until its paid for.

Yeah, it definitely is crazy. Seeing a 20k markup on a Honda is just pure greed. There's no justification for that. In my eyes, following the timeline... it's already a 2-3 year old body style, still in production. I did catch wind of that modded FL5 on social media, it's as you've said there's a rich boy somewhere dying to have it.

I remember being on the fence with the R and a G80. But, I've never been a "bimmer-boy," I just couldn't make the commitment or connection. Having stepped out of the brand for a brief spell, I LOVED my Subaru. It was a bugeye with a full 05 STI DBW conversion. It was stolen about two years ago and never recovered. I was set on finding a low mileage 05' STI, my epitome of the perfect daily. After driving this car, I'm glad that didn't pan out.

Tried setting up HondaLink today and failed repeatedly. After a few calls, it turns out the dealer fat-fingered my email. Hopefully, it’ll get sorted soon. On the bright side, while digging through the glovebox, I found some cool to me docs.

This happened... I really need to get some PPF ASAP. I didn’t have the sound on at first, but I fixed that later in the day. Honestly, the sounds were gut-wrenching. Kind of glad it was muted at the time, LOL.


Highlight of my drive: getting punked by an auto XI sedan. A few miles later, he even slowed down and hit me with the hazard flex



Night Cap: With 460 miles on the clock, I’m planning to do a 500 mile oil change. I’m also looking into the benefits of using a break-in oil before making any moves. I read on the forum that Honda ships these cars with a specific factory oil blend designed for the process, and that it’s best to wait until 1,000 miles for the first change. Still debating.......thoughts?

After a solid day of driving, I’m more enamored with the car than ever. Switching to Sport mode after spending the day in comfort brought back memories of my old road race Civic sedan on coilovers - which I enjoyed. Sport mode feels like the perfect setting to me! I’m now looking forward to reducing the wheel gap with Spoon springs.

That said, I do think they dropped the ball in a couple of areas.

First, and maybe this is just me getting older, but the seats aren’t as comfortable as a Buddy Club P1 XL in a rigid Subaru. Second, the lack of sound deadening is definitely noticeable. They could have done better here, for sure. $400 for a piece of mind......I'll bite (but I'm afffraid to tear into it. lol).

I threw in some new LED bulbs last night to get rid of the Amber Hue of the halogen bulbs.

Hit 500+ Miles today..... Less some quick ramps, I'm just about ready to knock this out. My poverty spec Hi-Zinc Oil change Kit.

...I figured while i'm in there I may as well do the cup holder LED kit too, so, time to go find that.

Took me a while as I installed my wolfbox simultaneously, and I wire things as close to factory as I can. I'll snap a pic next time im in there. If I had to break down the procedure a la carte. It can be done in 20min.

Disconnect 12v ( *see below)
Measure placement of all 4
pop panels driver/passenger
pop driver foot well panels
feed wiring using hanger or HEAVY DUTY zip tie
install sills
connect wiring
replace panels
and viola
* optional - you do not need to disconnect the battery for LV connections. Modern cars are so smart, they check and recheck prior to, a checksum would have to repeatedly fail before you get a screen error.
