This whole fiasco from the extremely low allocations for Canada, to the very limited colour options (Champ White is my choice, but I’d take black or boost blue too), to the atrocious lack of communication reflects really poorly on Honda Canada. Either Honda Canada is incredibly incompetent, or Honda Japan has very little respect for HC, or both. Been so frustrating.
I agree with u 100% Honda, Canada‘s way of handling. This whole situation is a total mess and it has little respect to any of its future type r clients, and the dealers are playing against them by hiding the cars and increasing the price in the used car market. Totally unacceptable.

$1900 price increase within 13 months. 1k from last '23 MSRP.

Honda raised the price twice for 2023 models.

Oct '22 $42,895
Nov'23 $44,795
Correct. Its a net $1900 increase from when the first 2023 models were released. I bought my late model 2023 for $43795 base. So still saved money vs waiting and buying a 2024.

Ya it sucks, but I think Honda takes care of Cdns. Those few Cdns fortunate enough to snag one got em for thousands (direct conversion) less than those in the US, Australia and the UK. It's 47000 pounds in the UK.
The lack of communication is super frustrating though.

Third batch of MY2024 FL5 shipment is en route on the Green Lake vessel. 394 units.
Vessel Tracker - Green Lake

Tracker says 12/23/2023 to Vancouver, WA, USA (where they most likely drop off Subarus) so I estimate 12/26/2023 to Richmond, CA, USA (where they process FL5s).

We’re up to over 1,100 vins now!

I'm surprised! Two vessels with FL5s crossing the Pacific Ocean at the same time!

Fourth batch of MY2024 FL5 shipment is en route on the Iris Ace vessel. 565 units.
Vessel Tracker - Iris Ace

Tracker says 12/23/2023 to Canada. So I estimate 12/30/2023 to Richmond, CA, USA.

We’re up to over 1,600 vins now!

Damn Honda really cranked up the production numbers on the 2024 huh? 1600 cars within 1 month vs 3300 cars for all of the 2023 model year?

Hopefully the rate continues for MY2024 but there's a possibility it could slow down later. I see 3,587 MY2023 units that came through this port with the lowest vin 000031 and highest vin 003941. This number does not account for units that arrived via special delivery, other ports, or other means. I'd say 4,000 MY2023 units is possible since the highest vin I see is 0039xx for the U.S.

588 units of MY 2024 were allocated to dealers this morning. Bulk of it going to California (~160 units). I believe they should appear on the motoring obsession map tracker soon. I have no affiliation with that tracker, but it has been closely timed with what I’ve seen in the past.

According to the vessel tracker, looks like Aquarius Leader is stopping in Canada ETA Dec 1 so Richmond should be soon after that. Sorry I’m unable to see what Canada gets, but fingers crossed our friends to the north will receive some.

Edit: Clarifying, I meant Richmond, California, USA. Not Richmond, BC, Canada. Sorry for any confusion.
I can confirm that my FL5 was from this shipment, my car arrived from Vancouver last week by train to the Montreal compound. It was released yesterday to my dealership and should be arriving today. If you need the info on my Vin number, I have it so we could confirm tracking to help more. Canadians to track car. As Honda Canada and dealerships, don’t really give us the information.
