I can confirm that my FL5 was from this shipment, my car arrived from Vancouver last week by train to the Montreal compound. It was released yesterday to my dealership and should be arriving today. If you need the info on my Vin number, I have it so we could confirm tracking to help more. Canadians to track car. As Honda Canada and dealerships, don’t really give us the information.
Thanks for confirming! I messaged you for your vin.

The next boat is due in Canada in 3 days. Hope there’s more FL5s for you guys on that one.

Happy Holidays :]

Hey Rostduck, did the Vancouver packing slip that I gave you from the car help you find information for other Canadian customers hoping their cars come in and also can it prove that my FL5 was on AQUARIUS LEADER that came to Canada on December 2 ???

Thanks for the photo. Sorry I won’t be much help; I wasn’t able to access any data for Canada.

I get a list of vins and noticed some (very few) missing in the sequence. For example, I see 000001, 000002, 000003, 000005. I was hoping I could assume 000004 went to Canada and possibly derive a count for you guys but looks like I can’t because the vins do not follow the same format.

Based on the vin in your photo, all I can assume is that the 12th character of the vin is "8" for Canadian market while U.S is "0" for the FL5. The 12th character for Honda generally identifies the market region. This varies from year to year / model to model. For example, the FK8 Canadian market is "3" while FK8 U.S market is "2." All manufacturers submit a vin definition document to the NHTSA for each production year. Sometimes Honda includes the market region codes, but looks like they didn't this time. I attached the vin document anyway for anyone who's curious.

Anyway, Iris Ace ship landed in Canada today :]

Merry Christmas!

I got a message yesterday from my cdn dealer an hour before they went for holidays, hey congrats we got a Christmas present for you.
Your car is here at the dealer and it's in white.. Wtfff.. a few weeks ago they told me we're looking at spring 2024.
I've been waiting almost 14 months for this car and my luck it shows up in the middle of winter literally during Christmas holidays.
Such a weird buying experience, Zero communication.
I've been sold on the marketing hype by detailers about not letting the dealer clean and PPF the car, so I told them not to touch it. They're wanting to get the deal done before new years so let's what happens when they get back in a few days.

Maybe they were being cautious with communications to you because they wanted to be sure they had the car in their possession before saying anything to you. Given the whole situation up there in Canada and getting these cars, I can’t say I blame them. Just be glad you’re getting it! No point in complaining about stuff that has already transpired and doesn’t appear to be detrimental to you. I’m sure there are hundreds or even thousands of people in Canada who wish they were in your position right now. Stay calm. Happy holidays!

I took delivery of a Tundra a couple of months ago, they were about 6 months late getting me a truck as well but the experience the was totally the opposite with Toyota. They called me in a month before the truck got here, we sat down went over all the papers, got insurance lined up and when the truck came we signed a couple of docs and took possession.

Different dealership. Different vehicle. Different situation. Your Toyota dealership set the bar high. I think your experience with your Honda dealership is par / average, based on what I and others have generally experienced. Don’t let it get to you. It’ll all come together as it should. All is well that ends well.

MY (Model Year) 2024 units have indeed arrived at the Port of Richmond, California on 11/6. Not sure how long they will sit at the shipping yard before releasing to dealers.

The next FL5 shipment for the U.S will be on the Aquarius Leader. 436 units. All MY 2024. No ETA yet but links for anyone who would like to track for the fun of it like I do:
Vessel Tracker - Aquarius Leader
Vessel Manifest Search

Edit 12/12/2023: 3rd shipment is en route on the Green Lake vessel.
Edit 12/14/2023: 4th shipment is en route on the Iris Ace vessel.
Edit 12/27/2023: 5th shipment is en route on the Sanderling Ace vessel.

Hopefully it doesn't take to long for them to ship across the country, my vin ends in 1486 so im hoping that its in one of those boats. All the way on the east coast though.

1486 is on the Iris Ace. Looks like it's allocated to Vermont.

Once landed stateside, it varies anywhere from 5-40 days to ship from port to dealer.

0634 was on the Aquarius Leader and landed at port on 12/9. Loaded onto BNSF railcar #CTTX693169 on 12/15 bound for MA. I'm unable to see what happens after a unit leaves port. All Google produced was an archived photo of the railcar in case you're curious what your Type R has made its journey in. It could still be in transit, stopped at another city along the way, or sitting at the rail yard waiting for truck transport to dealer. I would assume unit should arrive fairly soon.

Appreciate the help, the rail car numbers remind me of ordering my Bronco all over again
