I think PRL is popular and liked due to the lack of competition in the aftermarket for FK8. I hope the FL5 will get more aftermarket options because it’s built in Japan.
This is spot on. It's essentially the only game in town. Not interested in being a victim to a marketplace with no competition, my FL5 deserves better:).

I'm hopeful, but not counting on it. The value proposition to develop and innovate isn't there due to limited production numbers.

Yeah, and that’s why I’m following your build thread! 🤙🏿

On a side note, I emailed Voltex Racing (Sorry folks I’m a fan of GT Type Wing) regarding their wing and got a respond that it will be out December of 2024.
That is awesome! I like voltex products.
I’m thinking of buying their carbon hood for my s2k. 🫠

On the civic I’m going to stay stockish.

What kind of build is the S? Voltex kits are very aggressive even their street version.

Yeah. Valid. Give it a year and see who else wants to make some of the money PRL has claim to.

That would be cool!

Too early too say that. Haha 👀

I’m just looking at the hood. Its a track/street build just focused on weight reduction. Don’t want any kind of crazy aero. All the other aftermarket hoods are the same weigh or weigh more than the stock one. I think the voltex clocks in at 3.5lbs.

I have an ASM cf hood. Never weighed it but it’s pretty damn night and conservative design. Prior to this, I bought the Mugen cf hood but it arrived damaged. It was also very light but didn’t get to weigh it.

Yeah I’m still considering options, just trying to see what is out there that I like styling wise and loses weight. I have dropped around 100lbs off the car just with a couple of lightweight mods. Trying to get the car as close to 2600lbs as possible without getting rid of every creature comfort.

The stock seats weigh a lot. Some take the soft top out. Take the spare out. Use the CR tool kit instead. Essentially what the FL5 has also.

I already took out the spare, tools, lightweight wheels, bigger brakes with lighter calipers. Rotors were a wash, full titanium exhaust and front pipe, coil overs, bunch of titanium bolts all over the car. Soft top is coming off for a hard top and seats are getting replaced also.

You can pull the trunk liner out. You can opt for plexiglass for the hardtop. Not sure what else you can pull. Maybe the door cards.
