How to lock key fob in CTR?

Cool...Another alternative option is to simply eliminate the fob proximity sensor on the vehicle.

one thing to note: this pouch has two pockets/compartments.

the more obvious one at the front is NOT protected (intended use is when you do want the car to sense the key fob, and/or credit card and cash).

the one at the back, with the nearly invisible opening above the fold is the one you put your key fob into.

there are clear pictures on the Amazon page posted above

yet even though I know this, every now and then, I mess up and put the key fob in the unprotected pocket...

Thanks fellas! Appreciate the support and suggestions. I think I’ll spend a bit of cash to figure it out but in my cart is a waterproof bag for a key fob as well as a faraday bag. Hopefully this all works out.

faraday pouch is the simplest answer.
car will not recognize the key while it's inside the pouch, that is how it works.
if you put your phone inside the pouch, it will lose reception

faraday pouches are also a good idea when you stay at hotels (eg. track days)
if lucky, I can see my car from my hotel window - but keep the key in a faraday pouch to prevent relay theft.

Thanks all, received the faraday pouch and a waterproof bag. The faraday pouch works perfectly, just turn off the lockout protection like the video showed and the CTR will lock.

I'm going to test both tho as additional piece of mind by having the keyfob on me while surfing, for sure no one will be able to steal my car. However just that original concern that water would get in the waterproof bag and would be an expense in replacing the broken fob.

You could throw the key inside a ziplock freezer bag inside the waterproof. Should be good enough for a small leak. If you want it on you.
