Hey everyone,

finally purchased my dream car. I don’t really plan to do any major performance modifications. So far I have only added ppf, ceramic coating, aluminum door sills and tint. Plan to install the fk8 spare tire kit!

Welcome! When I first purchased I was in the camp of, "only a couple mods" and it spiraled. If you want to keep it near stock, don't spend too much time here ;). Anyhow, be well and enjoy the car in good health. It's a phenomenal car.

Welcome! Best bang for your buck is Hondata ECU unlock and a tune from @Jester04 or another reputable tuner. Really wakes the car up more than anything else performance for the money.

Or just get some fancy JDM wheels and call it a day 🤣

2011+ Odyssey spare tire & kit seems to be the way to go, off eBay or junk yard. This only fits the rear, but both tires easily come off the ground when Jacking.
FK8's didn't come with a spare.

think I might be looking to keep it stock for the factory warranty to be honest.

Yea that's a big plus of new

If you do want extended warranty check out Hyannis Honda. They sell Honda care extended much cheaper than most dealers. They just need the vin. I picked up 8 year 120k mile for like $1k I think. Dirt cheap. I just wanted peace of mind even on my modified type r

whaaat??? Winter????
Yeah, I live in North Dakota. So temps get into deep negative temps and roads get bad. Dont want the car to see the weather plus the P4s tires are garbage in cold temps. Given me time to do a few simple things so far but look forward to the warm weather

Congratulations. But you’re in the wrong place. There’s no stock FL5 here.

Welcome. I honestly love this car. It really is the GT3 of hot hatches. Enjoy.

For the record, I never planned on modding mine but already obsessed with making it my own. I’d recommend getting the ITS ADS unit. Best money I ever spent.
