Hey everyone,

Currently looking at the SI, and have tried to dig down through forums/reviews and owners manual to find the full specs of the half digital instrument panel. Specifically what it can display (any nav info/directions from either the onboard nav app or CarPlay-apple vs Google maps here). I drove an 11th gen sport hatch briefly, which I believe has the same half display and noticed it had the digital speed, sign recognition and possibly radio info on that side. Clearly the full panel has more options to display the active safety system info, tire pressures, nav and audio at the same time etc, but I do wonder how these tasks are delegated to the half.

I read somewhere that the audio info displays temporarily when switching stations, songs etc. but no way to keep it permanently in the cluster.

Can anyone elaborate on the functionality of the half cluster, or even some differences between the full one found on the type R/touring (and Canadian market Si…).

Probably your best bet is to download the owner's manual for the Si. Annoyingly, it is for different types of civics so it shows details for both the half and full displays, calling one of them "A" and the other "B". It was very annoying because I was trying to find features on my car that turned out didn't exist because I was looking at the wrong display in the manual.

Glaring thigs left out that I noticed is no temp gauge, so shifting indicators. The display seems cluttered to me and I find I have to hunt to find where the outside temp is or what time it is. Though not as up to date, I prefer the display on the 10th gen civics.

I picked up my SI about 2 weeks ago and have been going through the manual. I would agree, the A and B cluster nomenclature is confusing. So far, I am pretty content with the options for just the half digital, including NAV from carplay, fuel economy, and audio info among other options. It would be nice to have 2 of those display at the same time but it is what it is. I am fairly surprised that there is not at least a current gear # indicator somewhere in the gauges (under the digital speed would be nice.) My last manual car had this and actually found it to be quite useful.

Coming from a model 3, any gauge is better than none.
