Yo! Long story short, the trans is back together and in the car. I still haven't quite finished the install but should be able to fire it up and test drive in the next couple days. Still don't know exactly what I was doing wrong to assemble the trans. The Honda tech said he just took everything apart, checked it, and everything went together without issues. I did go to install the speed sensor and it turns out that the FK8 case is more shallow where that mounts. Kind of funky but I was able to just use the FK8 VSS so hopefully that doesn't cause any issues.

I did work a bit on the firewall while I was waiting to get the trans back. I think from here I will let the body shop finish it up. I got a lot out but it still has a good crease. There is a brace on the inside of the firewall so I couldn't push this area out super well. Hoping a shop can pull it. At this point though worst case I could weld it up and I'm sure it would be safe.

Not too shabby at all. I bet the body shop is going to weld numerous eyelets on the crease and insert a rod through while making a pull using hydraulics - that will get most of the crease out. The important thing is rust prevention and seam sealer back on that area though. Looking forward to hearing about the startup and the final cost breakdown once everything is said and done.
