There's a different wiring harness from the wheel to the clockspring (the part number listed was inexpensive) , but I'm not sure if that connects correctly to the clockspring.
Hi everyone - wanted to update the group! Happy Saturday as well, I know it is not as cold here in Michigan as it once was.

So, as you know this thread is about adding the FL5 cluster into the '2024 Si I have some statics to help put if this is a route you want to go.

My used Type-R steering wheel came in. I tested it quick so I could use the wheel controls and found out the cluster now has 100% controllability! I since the wheel was slightly more warn I used my Si wheel. This is how I got it to all work.

1.) You have to use the small wiring harness from the type are wheel and controls and swap them over to the SI steering wheel.

2.) Mileage stays with the cluster not the ECU

3.) I ordered the center switch bank with the "R-mode" button, I am hoping this allows the cluster to go into the race-dash mode. It will take a few weeks to get it.

I am SO very happy with this cluster. I love a full digital cluster as it really cleans up the area. The yellow digital needles are a nice touch too. If the R-Mode" works after swapping the switch bank, that will complete my journey on the up swing.

I took photo's of all the screen options we in the USA don't have on our SI's.

Please do remember that the explanation point circled in orange will be on the cluster as we do not have the ADS system on our cars. Not sure if that will ever be able to be turned off.

Thanks for following : )

Wonder what it would take to use an ADS delete kit with this setup. Might not even need to have the full harness.

Thank you! It is going well so far. I will have the selector switched delivered this Saturday per <USPS>. I also already added 1 door panel from a Type-R, so I will have the illuminated applique. I am adding the floor lighting too (our SI's actually have the provision for the Type-R ambient lighting).

so, i see you mentioned the mileage stays on the cluster not the ECU. How would you get it reprogrammed to get the correct mileage on the cluster?

I am sure you can go to the dealer. I just wrote down that I had 1511 miles on my SI cluster and I purchase the Type-R cluster with 674 miles.

I am starting to get cold feet on a Type S that is being delivered in April and started fantasizing modifying my ASPEC 6speed with OEM+ upgrades. Looked at my email and see you have my thoughts exactly. Now I am really wondering if the cluster in an Integra will have the ADS issue or not... CTR seats would be interesting as well.

Great info in this thread, thank you so much for doing this experiment. Really dumb Honda didn't go full digital for the Si in the states.

I had an m235 that I swapped an M2 cluster into. Cluster swapping is a big thing with 14-17 era BMW's.
They had to be programmed to the vehicle in order to get the mileage to display, perhaps hondata or ktuner people might have some ideas for this.

I'd love to do this swap, controls and all...preferably with a Canadian Si cluster. But without mileage working it's a no go.

YOU will have no problem swapping in a Type R or Type S gauge cluster, because you have a car with ADS. A U.S. model Si owner could use the gauge cluster from a Base or A-Spec Integra, or a Canadian Si to get a full digital cluster.

The A-Spec + Tech Integra, Type S, and Type R all have adaptive dampers, so swapping in gauges from any of those will lead to an ADS error as the Si (US and Canada) does not have adaptive dampers.

you can get the type r ads module, add power, ground and can bus wires (can tap anywhere on the can as its parallel circuits then add the cancelation kits offered by some companies for people who switch to aftermarket shocks or coilovers. does the mileage read km?
