To be fair to them, their hands are kinda forced.
Government want high efficiency average across the fleet ->popular model need high MPG -> reducing drag, power, and/or weight. And weight seems to be the way they went -> thinner panels and less insulation for noise

how much weight is it going to add if they were to reinforce that part of the sill
Minimal I’d say…. At least make the illuminated one as nice as the DE5!

You can get them for $215 at All Discount Parts and they are easy to install... I have them on my FL5, they aren't as nice as the Type S, but they still look better than nothing there at all. I certainly wouldn't call them tacky.

Yeahhh I totally agree--that's why I had my own made which are similar, and I'm on the fence about doing a group buy. It'd be a few months down the line though, and I can understand wanting it fixed ASAP. That kind of thing drives me nuts.

I'm in the minority and would just leave it as-is since it is not visible when the door is closed. Your car will accumulate more dings during its lifetime and I would only consider repairs if it's on an area that is seen on a constant basis.

I did the same thing with my cell phone too. Corner of the phone hit it and dented it.
It made a “pop” sound like you were opening a mason jar or jelly jar or something. Lol It Was very frustrating.

a dent guy can use a glue tab and a puller to get most dents out. May not need access from behind.

i got a dent in the exact same spot...from a water bottle too. lmao.

only really visible under light. don't think it's worth pulling. going to buy some rubber protectors.

Paid $150 for a dent pro but he couldn’t make it less visible I’d say just leave it and move on…..

A local PDR shop, Dent Vanish, was at the Atlanta Hondata Jailbreak Tour and they pulled mine out. After finishing it up, he claimed you can still see it, but I don't see anything lol. They were pulling out dents free of charge all day. Completely unplanned, but it worked out. Shout out to Dent Vanish!
