My guess is they will simply offer to fix the scratches. I don't think they would take a car back over cosmetic concerns.

Not to make light of the situation, but a good body shop can easily fix that and you would never know it's there. Most if not all of the damage appears to be on the non-cleared portion of the door, so that's also in your favor from a repair standpoint.

Assuming you got a good deal on the car, I'd just let them fix it to your satisfaction and move on. As a fellow RR owner, we both know these don't just pop up overnight. GL and keep us updated.

You could likely fix this pretty easily with Dr Colorchip too.

Just ask them to fix the scratches. Making them buy back the car over that is gonna be hard af.

I used to work at a dealership and you'd be in shock at the condition some of the new cars would come in off the carrier. Talking full body panels needing to be repaired in some cases. This is what we would have called "normal" or "minor" damage lol.

i've never heard of a dealer not scratching cars when they "detail" it
When people talk about dealers scratching a car during the detailing process, they're usually referring more to swirls (similar to these) pictured below that can be polished out relatively easily. Not so much the straight up gouges that OP got.

Right, I’d be fine if it was just swirl marks lol. That said, the GM of the dealership guaranteed that they will repair everything to my satisfaction, so I’ll give them a chance. Keep you guys updated with the results.
