DE5 HPD/JAS Motorsport TCR - What cooling modifications were done (comparison to the HPD FK8)?

OK! People!!!! In tcr they cut turbo water cooling! But .... TCR after doing 4-5k km ( ~3k miles) they replace engine. We have 1 in poland witch i know from internet run 9k km( 5k miles)after that they have some isues in high rpm ranges and heating isues. I dont know if they raplace turbo too.



TCR IC and water cooler from VW. OEM IC is wider.

FK8 and FL5 ducting/colling difference.

FK8 - closed uper grill. Some of them have small duct for intake. Ducting from bottom to IC, water and intake. Less drag
FL5 - open upper grill for IC ducting. bottom only for water ducting. More drag

Little cooler on water duct is trans oil cooler. I dont know where is engine oil cooler but i know that little oem one is removed.

I ask them on the comments but they only answers sometrhig Like this "Little one was removed and replace with larger ones"

So they still have an oil to water cooler, but of a larger size? I know they don't have an oil to air cooler, so I always wondered how they kept oil temps in check.

You can easy see that mountune using oem water to oil cooler and turbo water cooling conection is on the place.

In my opinion no way.
I found this on picture......this is on the bottom place where is oil filter.

Maybe the oil cooler is behind water cooler ?

Another news - Motul 300v 5w40 drive JAS Motorsport in all TCR civics

Looks like an additional cooler or something but its not in the FL5 TCR

Sadev gearbox transrad. I think there is openning in duct for airflow.
