Anyone else running a dual resonator delete on the FL5?

I'm so sick of looking at exhaust videos. Nothing is doing it for me, and I really don't feel like sinking 2k+ on a mid-sounding exhaust.

So...to scratch the itch I am thinking of a dual resonator delete. As of today, I can only find one person on this forum and on youtube with this set up, it sounds amazing. I read in a comment somewhere that they had their valves open at all times by pulling the fuse and noted little drone. Obviously people have different tolerances so I'm looking to vet and see if folks out there are running a similar set up (maybe even without their valve fuse pulled) and what they think of it.

I’m in the same boat and think I know which video you’re referencing. I was thinking about starting with the mid exhaust resonator first to see how I like it before doing the one by the front pipe. If I do it this weekend, I’ll follow up with updates.

Much appreciated. I currently have the front resonator chopped off and it just barely makes the tone deeper but it requires the valve to always be open. Im thinking dual delete and buying the active vale controller from Milltek so I can open and close the valve as I please. It's nice that it plugs into the OE controller.

So the front only made it deeper? No audible gain?

I’m going to be using exhaust tips and piping I got for free for letting a company test out an exhaust on my FK8. It was way too loud for my taste.

The GReddy EVO on my 8th is like a top 3 exhaust I’ve owned. It was so deep and quiet but ripped once vtec kicked in. If I can get to that, I’d be happy.

Yea, so here's how I'm thinking about it...

We have this video here at about 19 second mark you can hear what it sound like with just the mid resonator delete with the valve open and closed. Louder but no depth.

Then, we have another video here where both resonators are deleted and at the 6 second mark you can hear that its louder with depth*.

*Author states in the description that their valve is always open.

I have an appt next week to chop off the front resonator. With both resonators deleted it seems like it should introduce drone, just the front im hoping provides just a little more growl...if its not enough then we will chop both...or maybe just get a AWE touring. but for now hoping the front delete with the valve open is enough to scratch the itch.

I'm running triple res delete...I even took out the little stubby one after the valve in the back...it's the best solution for a couple of bills

Did this introduce drone?

No there's more exhaust noise for sure, but I leave exhaust noise in comfort so there's some humming in the back...not sure how it sounds in the back seats
Exhaust noise in comfort just relates to the fake engine noise iirc. I'll take this as a sign that there's minimal to no drone in removing both resonators.

Exhaust noise in comfort mode, doesn't produce the fake noise. You can run everything r mode that in comfort mode and you have no fake noises.

Ah, yes that’s what I meant. The exhaust noise setting relates to the fake noise, not the actual exhaust.

That is my current individual setup.

No exhaust is going to make these cars sound good lol
However you can get Tomei titanium single for about 1200$ cut a lot of weight improve restriction and do more than just change the note.

One can hope. I think there are exhausts out there that sound good, just not 2k+ good.
