Hello all,

I live right outside philadelphia. It is my first winter with the type r. It was recommended to get all season tires for the winter. Does anyone have any recommendations for what type will be best for the stock rims?

Michelin Pilot Sport AS4 or Continental DWS06+ seem to be generally regarded as the best options.

I have the Pirelli PZero AS Plus 3, so far good grip in the rain.

For the 265/30/19 size, your only big name brand all season choice is the Continental DWS06+. Beyond that I think you've only got Toyo and Falken. There's a cheapo brand called Advanta with an option but they are absolute trash. So you go with the DWS or take a chance with Toyo or Falken.

DWS06+ in 255/40 mounted on a lighter 18" wheel. Lose weight and road noise, gain sidewall/comfort. Great traction year round without losing the car's sporty intent.

Outside of Philly. Better off getting a winter beater for a few grand. Don't ruin your car in that craziness.

I bought my DWS06+ " $1500 " mount balance and alignment and free lifetime alignment and put them on the stock 19" rims and will get new 19" wheels for summer and remount my original tires on those.

I had them on my 19 SI that was sitting at 350hp and they were great tires. I had them for three years and they were still good when I traded it in for this car. I put about 40 - 50k miles on them.
