But no more time left to buy in at the current rate. The money is locked up for 5 years, unless you pay a penalty, and TD's website/customer service is dog shit.
You have to hold it a year, then you can sell losing 3 months interests. CPI isn't likely to drop much below 8% so the interest rate will likely be around 9% the next 6 months. It beats 3% from a money market.

When I owned an i-bond they sent some ridiculous color decoder wheel to log in. It was a major pain so haven't bought any since.

Isnt there a wait for mavericks? My coworker put a rezzy 6months ago but still haven’t got the order
Yup lol put it in on Dec 30 of 2021 and it still hasn’t been built! It’s supposed to be built anyway now tho unless I get another message about it being delayed.

i even had my deposit refunded after 6 months with no update. Apparently the dealership is still unable to find a buyer for it because they started calling me asking if I want to put a deposit down on it.

normally the dealership does MSRP for orders but if the buyer doesn’t complete delivery they will charge a markup

The MSRP will be the new FL5’s Achilles’s heel. $7k more than a based GR corolla. And this is before dealership mark ups. Yikes.
No it won't. Honda dealers will sell every one they get. This will be very limited to get this year and probably next. I do not foresee supply chain issues resolving in the coming year at all.

Now, for those wanting this R, you want a big boy car, you have to pay the big boy price, and it ain't gonna be MSRP!!!!

Also, the Fl5 costs $4500 more than a loaded Core GRC 😬, so for the price of an FL5 you could get a GRC plus coilovers and wheels/tires.

Toyota dealers aren't going to be selling their cars at MSRP either LMAO!!! Any dealer with a hot car will not be selling at MSRP until things are back to normal, and that will not be this year or next.

The greed from Honda is baffling. Over 15% increase in MSRP compared to last gen? Guess they saw how many idiots were willing to throw away $10K on markup on the last go around and figured they'd pocket that money themselves. Difference being now is that no one has their free coin money and stim to throw at this.

$60K for a Honda Civic?! No thanks. I'll get a Supra for that money.

Sadly there are people lining up willing to pay 5, 10, 20 and even 25K mark ups.

Curious to see if that dies out when the hype dies down.

Already quoted MSRP by two dealers in Houston. It helps to be in close proximity to Gulf States.

No shot I'd settle for the 4 banger.

I'd expect any car made in Japan to be getting similar price increases.

The cost of the materials Honda uses to make cars has gone up 15-20%. So MSRP has to go up.

Hypes slacked on the Supra. MSRP can be had on the 4 and 6 cyc except the manual.

Let's think about what wealth people will use to pay $60k for this:

bitcoin is down 65%
tech stocks are down 50-60%
tech stock options = worthless
home equity is crashing
stimmy checks = gone

Everything has changed in just one year - dealers just haven't gotten the memo.
Don’t forget to add trade-in values on current cars are lower than they were a year ago and interest rates are higher so when you add in ADM to be added to already expensive (sorry over 40k for this car is expensive to most people) - you’re getting hit for all angles. I do think this car will sell and probably will be hard to be had bc people have the ā€˜need to be first and flex’.

Regardless next year will be interesting across the board - the economy, the shortages etc.

61K, most expensive sold yet. I think they will be topped in a week as I've already seen dealers with 25K mark ups.

Has anyone been able to choose a color from the dealer yet or is it luck of the draw?
