alright, i’m going to reach 700 miles by the end of today. i can say confidently that the suspension is amazing, i just wasn’t used to it haha. road noise is still loud, but the suspension geometry is so much fun, even in comfort

After driving an MX-5 a ton, it'll probably sound positively quiet and cushy to me.

How bad is road noise on the highway? It it something that’s hard to ignore without any music, or do you get used to it and forget about it after a while?

If you have a FK8, there are very few compelling reasons to really move into a FL5.
I'd say if you've put 80K plus miles and absolutely threw it through its paces on track one could see the advantage of a fresh start. Especially if cooling out of the box is addressed.

But agreed, for most it will be a slightly lateral move. Especially with the current market.

Side note. Low production numbers for now hopefully means race teams stick with the FK platform in TC/TCR for another year...for some reason or another never got to see them in person.

How responsive is the Touch screen? How's the speaker system? Any bugs or glitches with Android auto/carplay?

touchscreen response is pretty damn good for a car infotainment system. speaker system is crazy good. tempting to just sit in the car and listen to music because of it. bose is always top notch. only bug on apple carplay for me is when i get to downtowns with high buildings, it can lose connect for some reason (only encountered like twice, quite rare).

Awesome. I had a Bose system on my 2010 Miata GT. I found the quality amazing. Glad to hear the Touch screen is very responsive. Drive in good health!

I’ve seen people say the sound system isn’t great. Glad to hear otherwise. Was VERY excited to see they put a Bose system in it.

Savagegeese commented the Bose on the Civic Hatch is as good as the one on the Mazda 3 premium (which they liked). So as long as the type R's is as good as the regular hatch's we should be golden.

It's the exact same system. So if you like that you'll like it in the FL5
