It's been a long time since I posted on this forum. But I finally got my first oil change done this past weekend. Took it to the dealer (the horror), and things went quite smoothly, despite the horror stories I read.
Someone ignored my "do not wash" instruction, and only remembered once my car...
Here's a photo of the VLEDS HO 921 in action. There's more dead zones in the light pattern. It's not really a surprise since these are two-sided bulbs versus the four sides of the XPR. But brightness is comparable. I tried to park a similar distance to the outhouse, though I overshot it by a lot.
Here's a surprising update. After a few months, I have replaced the XPRs with VLEDS High Output 921.

Not because the bulbs failed. But with surprising regularity, the driver's side bulb kept falling out of the socket at least...
Katzkin leather installed on my Civic.
Before:
After:
It also rectified one of my big complaints about the interior: the fabric door panels.
My original plan was to buy custom seat covers from Coverking, and swap the door cards from either an EX-L or Sport Touring. Luckily, Katzkin had...
Update on the XPRs. So far, my FL2 is unscathed. I can confidently say that this combination works on the Civic. However, one bulb has popped off the same socket, twice! For the first occurrence, I bent the metal prongs on the bulb outwards, so it sits snug. That lasted more than a week. The...
Finally had the chance to install the @Suma Performance mirrors.
It was a much easier install compared to the 10th gen.
And here's the best reason for these mirrors.
This was from an MDX. But I do appreciate the color flicker and cut-off.
Finally did this install on my regular Civic. Though has anyone used a different ground location than OP's? Or did they use the one in the tutorial for the ITS?
As promised, here's a video at night of the Lasfit bulbs in action.
They're much brighter than stock. But, unsurprisingly, not as bright as the i-LED. Please note I left all the video settings on my phone on auto.
I didn't notice for about a week until I decided to look under the hood...
This is an initial "review" of the Lasfit T3 7443. In just 600+ miles, these are the second set of LED turn signals I have installed in this car. So far, they worked as advertised. Though I doubt these are "4000" Lumens. I prefer the design of this bulb over their previous attempt at a...
I may be rambling, but intrusive thoughts lead me to look at the battery. And I discovered that the positive terminal was loose. As in, the nut was at the end of the bolt. That may have contributed to some parasitic effect. Now, whether or not that contributed to my replacement LEDs to pop...
I feel like the dealer would have chased that the first time it happened. Though they did cost me money in the end. In this case, the fuse popped when I went to test the lower horn. The only thing that happend was the stock horn momentarily beeped until the fused popped.
Though the Littlefuse...
Well, I tried to swap my horns, only for them not to work. Now I have an Idle stop issue on the guage cluster. Would disconnecting the battery help?
Edit: New horn fuse fixed the issue! Looks like someone else will do this install. Though I will definitely disconnect the battery for the...
Then I'm just paranoid.
On the bright side, my Euro horns have arrived. Hopefully the weather cooperates!
Homelink, dash cam and fog lights are coming. Though, with the last two, coupled with the Idlestopper V2, I may be running the risk of voiding my warranty...
Finally had my windows tinted. No more fish bowl!
I had 20 percent around, clear tint on the windshield, and five percent window strip done. However, since I bought this car out of state, and that state puts their temporary tags on the rear window, coupled with the lack of a front plate, I may...
The only other thing I can think of is the Idlestopper. Plus my Motorola MA1 in the USB port. I haven't done anything else. I contacted VLEDs and they can test the bulbs to see if something is wrong.
Now I'm worried about my future fog light and horn install.
Big heads up. Please don't be like me.
While backing into a spot, the car immediately told me to put in "park." When I did, the instruments went dark and the car was locked into park. I ended up using the shift lock release to change gear. I called the dealer, thinking something else caused the...
This is what happens when I look at the internet. Thanks to the FL5 section of this forum, I opted to remove my front plate mount. And I was only looking for the size of the rear plate screws!
You can just see the holes in the front grill.
Unfortunately, I live in a two-plate state. So I...
Well, with only 112 miles on the odometer, I took apart the center console and installed my Idlestopper! My only criticism is the fact that the instruction video was filmed in portrait. Besides the felt tape, did anyone zip tie anything?
And, thanks to @Chilly613, a screen protector. Luckily...
