If anything each new MY will be more expensive, so anyone on the fence about the price and wanting itā¦ well go out and get the first one you can as itās only going to get more expensive.
Yea no kidding. Iād assume the new type R will fall just above the circuit and close to the FK8 LE price (this is a hot take lol). Itāll be a good jump over the 2021 FK8 MSRP just based on the jump through out the 2023 Honda lineup.
Canāt wait for Flying Gato to review it. Heās already planning on getting the new R to start racing and it will be so fun to watch and how it compares to the FK8.
We just gotta agree to disagree, seems like your pulling at straws to make a comparison when literally the cars couldnāt be anymore different mechanically and in style.
The longer gear ratios I think will be a huge plus, especially if they are going for the Nring record for the higher top speed. Thatās a part I hate aboit dailying my FK8 is I find the gearing a bit too short.
Hey Iām not an FK8 over everything kinda guy. The EK9 is still my favourite CTR but the FD2 is the absolute perfect iteration of the CTR. The FK2 was the beginning of the end of the Type R recipe so I just find it funny how the FL5 could be spiritual successor when it doesnāt follow a single...
I see the FL5 as an evolution of the FK8. I just donāt see at all how itās a spiritual successor to the FD2. The FD2 was a sedan that was naturally aspirated and revs to 8600rpms. Itās literally an FK8 that was put in a microwave for a minute to soften up the exterior.
In the first post by OP he shows the JDM spec sheet for the FL5 and FK8. It shows for the JDM market 1390kg (3064 lbs) for the FK8 at release and the FL5 at 1430kg (3152lbs). Which makes 88lbs difference. Iām not making up random specs for funā¦.
