I could honestly go for just two including an FL5.

Subaru Outback XT - Currently have one so am biased but it just does so much with a turbo kick. Great interstate hauler. Camping with light off roading. Shopping, rubbish removal, etc. Had to buy a new washing machine recently and it easily fits.

If I had to go for a third it would be a Hyundai i20N hatch or Suzuki Swift Sport in a manual transmission. Small enough for a daily city car but plenty of fun to drive. If track days weren't a consideration I'd go the Suzuki as it has more forgiving suspension for daily driving.

For me, i nearly had one. 16 wrx, a subaru ascent and a 93 skyline just cause i wanted it. super unpractical and was in the shop so many fucking times in the 4 years, and it was always expensive. I actually fixed everything at a shop i used. if it was rubber it was dryrotted...i would replace as many as i could afford each time it was in the shop, end Feb 24 2024 highway at night...this idiot women drove thru the grass median and fucking illegal, she pulled out and she was behind some big ass truck, he sprayed mud all over her windshield and coul3d not see ( this is from her), yet she still decided that it was a good move to stay in the fast lane. 78ft from where she pulled out BAM no more skyline. Im still waiting for a court date, her insurance nationwide told me, she was going 55 when you hit her, and there are no cameras, so its her word against yours so its no fault.

So naturally my response was, so a 2013 kia sedona is the fastest car in the world and simple math says she is lying.

i mean at 65 i had less than 1 second to recognize the situation, car to my left, same median on the right, which was dead stopped traffic which would have been exponentially worse for my life, the car wasnt going to survive so i lockedup the brakes, i estimate i was going 30-40mph at impact. sooo anyway, lots to the story but i should walk with the max of her policy which is 100k min requirement.

wrx was sold in 2022, because i had lost my job , i still had bills and a mortgage to pay, so i sadly sold it.
I bought a 24 Si the monday prior to the totalled, so feb 19th for a daily. so i went thru with the purchase, because the wife said no to the type r (i just filed bankruptcy like 2 weeks prior, so she had to sign for the car, easy lesson for the young folks, if you are ever married keep EVERYTHING seperate except for a house, even then if you
got it like that, still get the loan ONLY in 1 of your names. I filed bk because at that point i was out of options 17montha no job, and found one making $20/hr (my last ful yr i made $180k) so a rough patch and my wife was not affected by the bankruptcy, hence she could sign for my car. i got the car march 30th. Black friday, im now employed on my old field again, i said fuck it, traded the SI, which i paid zero markup on and i put 10k down. got the 25 type r at msrp and 28.6k for the SI.

Ok. So new 3 car garage, the type r which is staying put probably for a really long time. An SUV, and since i have an ascent, i wouldnt change it to anything different, its an amazing vehicle. for a 3rd car, I would just buy what I was going to instead of the Type R, i looked at a darkhorse but 90k for a mustang is just stupid, BUT, since we are building a real world garage, I would get a mach 1 or whatever the most hp model that is being made now. Yeah, def a v8 something, always wanted one so thats what mine is. Will most likely be a reality in the next 3 years. We only have 1 child, so i can have true play cars.

A handful and a half. 400ft lbs of Tq just off of idle in a 2700lbs car with a short wheel base.

Odyssey which I already have and a S2K which I want

FL5 is obviously the best civic ever made (I said what I said)

Odyssey because nothing out minivans a minivan. I don't understand the hate this is so much better than any SUV except maybe a suburban which would be the only acceptable replacement in my mind and only if I needed to tow occasionally.

S2K to relive my younger years of owning Miatas but I'd prefer the s2k now. I much prefer the looks of it over na-nc Miatas.

Exactly my thoughts and my situation. Having Odyssey and FL5 and wanting a S2k (or a NSX if I could ever win a jackpot). Odyssey is capable enough for the most roads that you could ever go for family trips, if not, go for AT tires.
