I have another shitty freeway video on my Instagram shamless plug #razorcrestfl_5.
Only thing is when it's cold it has a weird trombone sound at about 3k but that's prob one of the pipes not seated quite right then it expands and goes away it's really not a bad drone on touring but I'm in the camp of loving it
Sounds like it’s idling ? 🤔
Thanks for the upload 👍🏻

I've heard of the issues with AWE but I guess my $130 spend on the install made it right. No rattles or movement from mine for about 2.5 years. Been on a track about 3 to 4 times so far. If in Miami I can recommend the shop. I do my own work but that was so cheap it's a no brainer.

How Sway? The AWE exhaust hasn't been out that long.

AWE Touring and TSP Dowpipe for over a year. No issues and it's loud enough. Anything louder would be annoying.
Was it a noticeable difference in noise level? My TSP downpipe is estimated to arrive in June and I already have the AWE touring exhaust installed. I love the noise but wish it was just a tiny bit louder.

Hey everyone, jumping in here. If anyone is currently having an issue with their system hit up our support team ASAP so we can get it squared away for you. I have done this install a few times and given that the pipes are so much larger than stock there is next to no room for error as far as the installation goes.

That being said, our support team also documents potential issues in addition to getting resolutions so we can get down to root cause.

If you are encountering anything out of the norm hit up our support team right this way, and I am also a PM away if you have questions, need install tips, or just need a person on the inside, I am happy to help.

Expect a big difference in sound. Also expect that downpipe in early May if not sooner. :)

So the TSP Dp is more quiet ?
Any aftermarket downpipe (ours included) will make the exhaust sound louder in comparison to using the factory downpipe.

It sounds a bit louder but not to the point of being annoying. Especially on long drives it is tolerable.

Yeah that’s what I thought but reading the op’s post I thought he was complaining the one he had was to loud so he was ordering the other one .
EDIT: Ok misread 🤪 maybe not lol

For now I am steering clear of adding a DP as they increase volume and consequently IMO the exhaust loses its personality and ends up sounding cheap. The K20C1 is just not a great sounding engine to begin with so finding the "sweet spot" in terms of exhaust ( and DP) is going to be a bug hunt. I am not living my life a 1/4 mile at a time and wont reap the benefits of a DP anyway. Now, throw on a PRL HVI and you have a nice balance of turbo noise and rumble from the AWE exhaust.

They key to maintaining a good exhaust sound (and reasonable volume) with an upgraded downpipe is having a resonated exhaust. Thankfully in the FL5 market many exhausts are offered with a resonated or non-resonated option, which allows you to adjust accordingly for your downpipe, if one decides to go down that road. Non-resonated often suits the factory downpipe well but can sound horrendous with an upgraded downpipe.

Ok thought I’d update my thread and wow it was a hard decision. The Awe looks like a great exhaust and sounds awesome which made my decision even harder . Big shout out and thanks to Josh @MERAKIAUTOWORKS it was great meeting him and nice knowing he’s very close to my hood what a great guy and can highly recommend hands down definitely good people . Ok now to my choice of exhaust I ended up going with a Remark SS wanted a Ti version but I was worried if I had second thoughts I’d have less invested . But wow I’m really happy with my choice it sounds amazing nice and deep and rips nice lol😆
Watched the install and fitment was perfection a long with all the welds . Even wowed the installer that said it was a clean well made exhaust . I’m sure he liked that only just had to bolt it up with no adjusting what so ever it was good to go . Anyway early on just had it installed this morning but really liking it in all areas. Here’s a couple quick pictures
